First of all, let's break down why the new design is more appealing: -> It has discernable hips and boobs, aka "sexiness." It no longer looks like a blob. -> More proportional head. -> Facial features are better defined. -> Cleavage -> Shoulders are broad and straight, which provide in-figure contrast. -> Better pose/line of action. On the other hand, the new design is a little boring. It's very disney. I like how you're pushing her expression in the clean-up pose, but the face I find most interesting is the cock-eyed one on top. Push that a little bit and it would be a great expression for the character, and it seems to retain a bit more of "you." The new one seems perkier, while the old one has a business-like demeanor. Also, give that clean-up pose boobs. She's flatchested right now. Overall, it's good work. Just be aware of how you're handling your style.

I dont think I can push it to much on that character, or else it wouldent look much like herself. Ill leave that to the more "Cartoony" characters in the movie I guess, and have her as a more "realistic" character =P

Awesome new expressions, they're MUCH more you. Holy smokes, those were her boobs? I thought they were her shoulders The new ones are better, but give her a visible shoulder on the right side. Sorry to be so picky. Colesif, I know you said you want to get a good feel for Lucky by drawing him alot, but I found for me that my artwork improved fastest by going for vareity -- in style, medium, character etc, and stressing essentials like anatomy and lighting. Have you cosidered drawing a hyper-realistic lucky? As in, the proportions and the feel of his character stay mostly the same, but you define his muscles, skeleton, and anatomical details? Another thing that a lot of people seem to do (me included, for a long time) is give cat extrodinarily long metatarsals and ankles (the part of the leg directly above the pads). This is incorrect; cats actually have long SHINS. This construction gives them thrust while they run. I've noticed that giving my characters (the ones that walk on their toes) the long-shin construction tends to make them look stronger and more dynamic. Just a thought.

Thought it might be all a bit much with so much colour in there already. Will probably fix that though - thanks for pointing it out. Bruce: Lovely landscape you drew there. The tonal work creates a nice mood, and I like some of the character in those trees. Edit: Fixed the colour if anyone else is interested.
