![]() Well I started out this little doodle of MC and now I want to finish it. Problem is it lacks detail that I have no cluw what should be add. I try finding and using the colors that blend well and use layers. Plus iam using my most love brush! What do you think guys? Also Comlock your drawing skill is sweet. Not sure why Bussman but I like using them Col-Erase Pencils. There smooth and faster to workw ith but they seem hard to erase off the paper? Not sure. I only use one so far in my life. I HATE MY GRAMER! |

Yes, they are harder to erase, but they dont smudge out as easily like normal pencils would. So it makes all the lines and shadings alot cleaner. And thats a nice MC rade. The helmet already look 3d, even without the shading. Good work.( Did you traced it? =o) And you can check out this Col-erase maniac http://www.hansranum.blogspot.com/ Just scroll down, and look at all those clean and detailed drawings... |

Yeah, about my pic,umm i was trying to draw the guitar but it really wasn't coming out so i tried to blend it and make it look like i meant to do that, hehe. As far as her having no nose....oops. As far as noobs comment,''just don't use this thread to fish for compliments''...i thought this was for critiques not insults man.All my stuff has looked the same for the last 2 years,so i didn't see a problem. I have no skill for backgrounds, anyone have any advice?I just try to make blurry stuff behind now.

It's a nice drawing, jub. The "absence" of the nose or the rest of the guitar is moot as it doesn't detract from the drawing and might not even fit if they were added. Whether you're fishing for compliments or not compliments are due. It's a great drawing. Keep it up. er, NOOB!, as much as I hate to disagree with you twice in the same post I hafta in ref to songspinners sketches. The arm looks just fine and in proportion to me. If the rest of the body had been drawn in I'm sure the proportions would be just fine. I dunno... my opinion. Yembles, I hafta 'gree that your sketches do come across as somewhat flat but also that you're really improving otherwise. Some of the expressions are priceless too! Stay at it cuz you're on the right track. Commie, your stuff sucks. No really, great as usual and that smiley dog cracks me up! Rade, dude, I dunno how you show depth so well in such a flat drawing. Nice! |

how where u insulted by that? What good is critting work thats 2 years old? its like me critting bitey of brackenwood and expecting adam to change it... and didn't i say the work was good? and mig,u don't have to agree with everything i say,its my opinion also. You'll all learn eventually,i said many things in this thread that have just been ignored, then 10 pages later sumone else mentions it with a little paintover and they are the king of the crowd. woteva...i'm used to that, thats why i don't crit as much as i used too. |

I think the arm is a little strange but I'm not sure, I'd have to see somebody stood in that position for me to pass my full judgement. I still think its pretty cool. |

Its not that very hard how I see it now after looking back. I think its easy for me since I love playing the game so much that I know what MC looks like off the back of my hand. I think its not so 3D. Since I try pulling it off by using color depth which something that ive been doing. It mosty the way how I fill in the color. Iam just giving the illusion of making it 3D when really its 2D. The helmet and his arms are what I think, pull it off. Also Maybe the thick black outlining I did. Its kinda a ruff sketch but iam working towards the goal of making it look close to the real thing. I might have to finds some typ of texture to make it look like metal or give it luster. Now I have to use Paintshop which is the only thing I have. It sucks but its kinda handy for editing my pics in case I take a bad photo of me If you are wondering why iam making MC. Truth be told. Its part of my concept are for a long random story for flash pub 44. "Rades quest for Coffee" Colombia Colombia Colombia Colombia |

On the topic of smudging, I allways use Faber HB, 2B's they're nearly impossible to smudge (unless you start rubbing them offcourse...).

there are no borders on the pages. the lines are just as a guide and will be painted over. The 'space' between panels will come as a separate layer when get the files prepped for printing, and i'm ready to trap the pages. |
