wow,i'm starting to think the girl actually exists lol. and TheEYE....u met a 5 year old girl at a bar..............damn right that wudda ended up bad. :lol: i think the teeth look the best too,thats probably cos there the only thing even close to finished. thanks for the comments guys,keep em comin,i'm gunna do sum work on the background and leave the girl for now. i'm also not to keen on the eyes  ,i'll try my best to make em look a little *cleaner*EDIT: have u guys given up posting sketches????..cmon....... |

 I'll post some drawing too, but no recent ones. I will now tell you all [size=14]The History of Simpleton's drawings[/size] I accually never drawed a lot until September last year. Ofcourse, I have always drawed a bit, mostly doodles on the back of my school papers, but nothing too exciting, nothing good, nothing special, just random ugly sketches... That was until , like I already said, Early september last year(2004). I seemed obvious, that if I wanted to become a decent animator, I had to get better at drawing. So that's when I started practicing... Around that time, a friend of mine, who is in my class, drew a lot of cartoons and comics, and he kinda dragged me into it. We found ourself drawing the most weird jokes you can imagine, and we drew them everywhere: During French, mathematics, all other lessons, at home. Nevertheless, we didn't really concentrate in the drawings, only on the joke. And I think that's the reason why I did not get any better: the characters I drew always looked rather the same. I had to do something about it, and in that time I searched for new styles. Next thing you see when you look a little bit below this sentence, is a drawaing I made back then. (note: look at how horrible the two drawings in the top left and the top right corner are! ) Nothing too good as you can see, but at least the left character looked better then the things on the right (which aren't very clear, I know). There was a cartoon-comic competition back then. There was no entry fee, so why not participate? So that's what I did , I sent in this cartoon...  Quick translation, since it's in dutch:
and guess what, I got to the finals with this one. I was quite happy, especially since all finalists got a free entrance ticket to some kind of a drawing lesson session. Since it was free, not to far away from home, I went drawing! A cartoonist there (Zomarr! was his name ) tought me quite some handy techniques. The following days I found myself drawing things like this.   as you can see, these look quite different then the previous ones. In this time I learned a lot abot making faces look original...
