REALLY! Thanks Tom. I havent notice really. When I look back at all I have done so far. I think I kinda have made an inprovement. I got to thanks this place and all of its members. You guys just provide me with some typ of insperation. Now only if I my spelling can get better.

Im 16 I live in USA, long Ilsand, Newyork. Close to the ocean Before I live 14 yrs in Queens in the flushing Newyork. My native language is spanish and yea all know where my roots are from. |

Well, Rade: first of all the girl has a very Pop-Eye arm stance going on there, maybe thats a little too un-female??? Second, the supposed tounge coming out of the mouth appears to be an arm of some sort, or something else, im not sure, it just dosent look very tounge like. Third, maybe if it was colored then i would be able to understand what was going on at first glance, because like i just looked at it and i thought the girl was laughing at the guy with like a snake around him. Overall, its a very unique and interesting idea, just sprusen up those things and it will be gorgeous! |

A few niggles: her neck is pretty dang thick she has very lump like shoulders what is going on with her legs/hips? your mouth drops off your face, it goes over your chin. and... are they donuts? |

hehehe,Yeah i traced the head out of a magazine,I thought the expression was hilarious on his face.I can't shade faces like that.I tried drawing the body but it looks like crap and doesn't fit.I don't think i made the body big enough. |

Hey Jub, what pencil do you use? Your shading allways seems so sharp and hardedged. Seems like allot of layers are needed to get some decent contrast into the shadows, doesn't shading take a long time? |

I just drew it with a mechanical pencil,His head was about an inch tall,and i can't seem to get heads to look good when i draw em really small,i tried tracing but it looks crappier than drawing off with a referance
 .

Actually I think the face is pretty good, you seem to have gotten the expression right. I think most of your drawings are really good, but the shading on them seems a bit of an aftertought. I think the drawings would look twice as good is the shading would have some more depth. You could try to use some softer pencils, like ordinary HB or 2B pencils, or trying out new ways of shading. I think you should check out some of Puddnhead's stuff, he's really good at rendering with mechanical pencils, and there's undead people in there... what more do you want :lol: He also released 2 DVD's of how he works, wish I had it... http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/kll01.html |

Well yeah the head looks better than the rest because it was traced,i mean that's like... cheating.
I've just been trying new things lately.I've been drawing for years but i haven't advanced as quickly as i think i should have for the amount of time put into it. PUDDINHEAD is my hero,I've seen some of his stuff and it's got alot of the characteristics in it that i wish i had in mine.I stuck with the mechanical pencil in drawing a long time ago when i was interested in getting into penciling for comics.and i just got used to it.But yeah i've just been using HB lead lately(lazyness probably the culprit).But yeah,shading takes a long time and a few layers with a mechanical pencil for me,(about 3 hours to draw a portrait)and even then they all should be shaded a LOT darker.I think i'm just stuck in a rut.Maybe i should do something else for a while and go back to drawing when i have some sort of inspiration. I'd buy his instr. dvd but the dang thing costs 49.99 for a dvd
