Yo, Humblegoo, wadda' you use to make the cool gray shadings?
Also, how did you learn? I really like the cartoon-realistic style you've got going.

All done in Photoshop with a soft brush at a low opacity. It's good for laying down some rough shading quickly.

How did I learn? Well, that's a pretty complex answer, I've had many influences. But, I guess I'd suggest lots of figure drawing classes/sessions. It helps you get really comfortable with the human figure quickly and the more comfortable you are with it, the easier it is to draw it on your own and mix it with your own style. As for my style, I've always watched a lot of cartoons (mostly old warner bros) and nabbed bits and pieces from different animators I like.

More than anything, it's lot of time. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm 25 and I've been drawing like crazy every since I can remember (so actually I should be alot better at it, :) ). It's the only thing I've ever really been dedicated to doing. So practice a lot, and with time, your own style will emerge.

Hope this helps...

Yeah, I'm only 15. If there's one thing I've learned from my short time here, It's that if you're older, your better.

I'm not pointing that out as a negative to anyone younger, and it hasn't discouraged me at all. In fact, i realise that probably the only reason you're as good as you are is because when you were fifteen, you looked at something and said "damn, I wish i could draw that well".

Thanks for the answers, by the way.
