Tomothy looks great Munch. You've improved your drawings yet again!
The reason the front hand looks odd, is becasue his thumb is on the wrong side ;)
EDIT: oh, you had it fixed on the bottom pic. I didnt see that at first^^
I cant see anything wrong with that one?=)

fuzzyillogic: you could make the posing stronger by lifting the birds arm more.
Im not that good with gestures like Humbleego or Anghenfil, but something like this could probably work:

Maby it would be funnier (scarier =o) if he looked into the camera =D

Awesome gesture Commy. Cocking the hammer arm back over his head really helps the pose.

Edit: This really is the face of unrepentant evil, though.

You mean this thing:

Nice suggestions, Arthur. My alternate suggestion would be to look at real woodpeckers and work your own design from there. There's lots of woodpeckers besides the ones with the big red tufts.

Doc, you are only 25 other animals away from an AWESOME children's alphabet book. That is a beautiful creature.

Are you sniffing bleach again? I thought we talked about this... :P

Nice style with that cow... dog? What is it? Maybe give it some horn buds if it's a cow. Though the style looks oddly familiar... Who was your influence?

Nice munch. Very cartoony splashy feel to it. I like the colours.
Maby you could let the water reflect some of the yelow colour from the sun.

Ngggh... Arthur, the first one is so beautiful. The glowing and the eyes and the skull and the MMMmm. Love it. Now I need to change my pants...

Not as crazy about the girl. The eyes look too flat compared to the rost of it, I think. The green is very rembrandt-y, though.

Yeah, you're right. Thanx=)
How about know?
I used more soft edged brushes all around to get a more warmer glowing feel to it

Nice, personally like the girl allot more myself, first one seems flat :P
Anyway, are you trying out new ways of painting? Cause it looks different (more like actual painting)

*edit* Arthur ya beat me to it! Don't overdo the rosiness on the face, looks like she's been beat up :D j/k

I like the rosiness myself. Almost like a post-coital glow. :P I'm not so certain it looks necessarily human anymore, but I like it all the same.

Her eyes are better, but they still look very bright to me. Hmmm...

I was just trying to use the somewhat same colourplaette as the awesome
photoshop artist Linda Bergkvist. So remember. I did not make the above image.
Its a copyright of Linda !

EDIT:
The last update ^^:

And thanx for the crits both of u =). I wont be doing anything more to it, since it was just a little -loosley- playing around with diferent colour/shading/painting tecniques. Maby I'll make a new one later:bfoot:

Oh man, Linda is awesome. Her design and her sense of what to make sharp/soft is amazing.

Edit: Nevermind, the latest one matches the palette well. Her shadows seem to be softer, though.

Bwahahaha! :bing: Yes, the ATAT walker... it should've been obvious. ;) I love that dog/cow, by the way.

You guys crack me up...

I really liked bodot's drawings from 2 pages back - nice character design and really nice painting... you can stare at that for quite a while and still find new things!

fuzzyillogic, I think that the rooster's right eye (the one further away from you) needs to be balanced a bit - it looks a little off, like it's sitting on his face slanted. Also, one of the arms is thicker than the other - you might want to fix that. Otherwise, though, it's shaping out nicely.

I was going to submit something myself, but it's taking a while longer to finish drawing than I thought...

So until then, here's one that I drew a while ago that I doubt anyone here has seen - I submitted it for a company logo competition as something of a joke (there were thousands of other entries, so I knew it had no chance, but I had fun making it):

Posted Image

I love the expression on its face the most - the poor clumsy creature... :P A little like that yellow animal, actually.

Think it's the shadow. Your shadow had a light pink/brownish tint to it, making it seem her cheek was kinda red. Just be aware of that. ;)

And I agree Linda is awesome, been a while since I last visited her site... lotsa new stuff... amazing new stuff...

ok, fine!
I lied

I just had to continue this one.
It was rather fun acctually, becasue it didnt take as much time as I thought it would.
I blended the colours more:

How about now?

EDIT: oh, I saw your post Rubber. I'll make a more greener shadow on the cheek..

The colors are much nicer now. I've circled the shadow on her chin that's buggin me. Her lips are puckered too much now too.

If you work on her any more, do something with her hair! She looks like a Charles Dickens character.
