Thanks, fuzzyillogic. I've drawn a lot of these jacked-up scary dudes a lot, so I just drew this one to balance it out. Don't ask me why he's saying what he is, it's just the first thing that popped into my head.

My buddy's dad has some of those (timeshares)... it got him some sweet hotel rates in Lake Tahoe. :)

Is that supposed to be Busta Rhymes, Yog? The charcoal shading looks very smooth. :o
-----------------------------

Sounds like a cool project you're working on, Megoliesse. Getting to unleash your creative juices in conjunction with RP is always fun.

At first look, the shading in every part of your picture is about equal. Try intensifying the tones on objects that are closer, and fading it on objects that are farther. Same goes for detail. Check out the back ground tutorial for some great tips by kib.

Also, the left side of the picture looks a tad empty!--- fill it in and it'll bring more balance to the scene. Here is a page on composition for painting, but the principles apply to penciling aswell. ;)

Who is the character you've made? Any chance we could see some conceptuals on him/her?
-----------------------------

Hey, Hockman, welcome back! :bfoot:

You madman! Drawing in pen! :gasp:

There is something to be said about drawing with ink, though. It's a very committing way of composing and detailing. The mistakes stay, so more care is (should) be taken to prevent mistakes and add to the aesthetics. Also, it creates a sharp tone to every line, thus making shading and detail a matter of quantity, and not quality, as compared with lead/graphite.

Your understanding of this shows through quite well in your work.

But looking at his muscles, many of them don't appear 'right'. (or human, anyhow ;)) I'd suggest studying this excellent review of anatomy by Kasterstener. It goes over all the main muscles and bones, and is an enlightening, quick read.

I just want to say, I really, really dig this drawing by yogi - nothing much has been said about it yet, but I love the emotion - this guy is in serious turmoil - and the shading is luvly jubly - I think it would look sweet on a bleego style background.

btw, wtf is 'timeshare'? I remember hearing that in teenage mutant ninja turtles 2 (the secret of the ooze) but I never understood what mikey was on about :)

Timeshares : An arrangement under which a purchaser receives an interest in real estate and the right to use an accommodation or amenities, or both, for a specified period and on a recurring basis. Used primarily for selling vacation properties.

For a news paper article, they came and interviewed my family about my heart disease and make a wish experiance , and they wanted to put one of my drawings in there, so I quickly sketched this up.

Awesome work Tordeck! :)

Congratulations on being published! I am of course stating the bleeding obvious but billions and jillions of people are about to see your drawing - what an opportunity! That's enough to get any artist pumped I reckon!

Being a self deluded ego maniac, I'd frame the whole page and hang it my room for all time. :D

That's a peahen/cock if I'm not mistaken. What made you draw it (the bird), Tim?

It's very clear and concise. :)

Here's my first bit of life drawing. (boobs--- awright!! :bing:)

I've heard it makes you better. ;)

Life drawing that is.

I'm pretty sure that it's a person sitting on a rock... but I see what you mean by the peahen(cock) thing.

Great work btw man, I love the style you have developed over the course of you working on Viradarium. Very distinctly yours! :bfoot:

Looking damn good Bleego. The skittles (smarties?) eyes look a little off centre, but that just lends itself to the uniqueness and character of the GG.

Wow, that went way out of proportion.

I just meant you probably should stay away from copyright stuff... Any person will know that a round candy with a letter on it is referring to Skittles or M&M's. It's not brain surgery. Or you could confuse people and put a picture of stalin on there or something.

 Well, if you said, "You should make them Z's, just to be careful." I would have understood it.

I've been wondering that I was gonna do about copyrights because I also wanted M&M's for his nipples. :P

Hey, Lupa! I like that background a lot, the only problem I see is that there's a lot of white space on the right side of the room. But as you said, you're still working on it.

Anyway, I really like that simplistic look. Do you have some more? I'd really like to see. B)
