Awesome stuff you two... I like the way the face is kinda scrunched Dave. She looks like she has some type of reptilian genetics or something.. Combeautifulockness Comlock.... The thing i like about yours is that the base colors in this piece already express alot of form. I love watching the various stages you guys post. It's giving me a better understanding of the process.. Maybe i'll post something if I muster the courage...... |

She is Clark Kent's girlfriend in "SmallVille" (Superman's life in a series) She got a beautiful and almost perfect face. No offende but I liked Comlock's sketch lots more... But your colors are better, mr humble. Nice work all of you guys! |

Yes, its Scarlett Johansson. here's the ref:  Though I kinda cheated on this one, because i roughly traced the image before I started painting underneath. *dont you ever do this again Arthur. big "no no"*  But at least I got to practice getting more comfertable rendering paintings faster. And now that I look at it, it's not realy that close to the original reference. But it was fun that you saw it was her KIB. Thank you=)

Geez!!  Her upper arm really IS long in the reference! It looks so prominent! Brilliant tones on and around the face. I like that you added a few well-placed shadows... It makes her features stand out much more. The shadows around the fore of her upper arm make the upward-facing side appear flat on top. Too hard-edged they are, perhaps. -------------------------------------

= I'd maybe position the guy on the left to where he's still getting kicked in the groin, as if Granny's kicking both of their asses simultaneously! Perhaps it'd add more impact... *BTW, defence is spelled defense....just a heads up *wink* = Comlock, I think your version of the picture is more interesting than the movie still anyday, even if you do say it's "off". - - - I've been out of practice with drawing for a while, & I've been trying to sharpen myself.  I didn't plan on shading it at first (that's why the elbows & shoulder blades look odd) but I was enjoying myself, so I went ahead & did. It's referenced from one of the older drawing jams....I been getting all my "life drawing" from there lately
