Awesome Dave=) theese are so fun to look at =D please keep posting if you have more stuff like this! I'd love to see more of your Ampad sketches. I like that elephant eared creature with the fish looking face at the bottom ^^ It's realy cute and ugly I like how you fixed those shoes Bodot. And it looks more like a man now also =) I'll just throw in some random exaggerated anatomy scribbles. No reference used. 4 fingers, 4 toes, I should try to avoid that next time maby =) Nudity And the first page of my sketchbook I've never showed becasue it's realy old. ![]() ![]() Now for something REALY old. Dated back to the year 1999 ![]() ![]() ![]() Look at those legs  |

You've just got to get in there and define those edges so they're not so blobby. I'll post an example in a moment.... |

Like this? ![]() Just need to bring in some more contrast in the values and color and refine the edges. Is this what you wanted to know?

Curse you, HelpfulEgo!![]() Just.... just keep working at it, Bussman. Looking at your colours, it's obvious that you did them under a sketch layer. Everyone's colours will look like that after they take away the sketch, it's just a matter of going back in and adding more contrast until you have it looking 3-dimensional. |

Hey Thanks Dave, Thanks Matt!!! Dave, when working out whatcha did, like how far zoomed in were ya? Its just, like, it seems so easy to like say do this, do that, but most of us are visual learners (I know I am) and it would be phenomenal, if like, you made up a "2 minutes worth of time" quickie tut? I mean, afterall, it is my birthday but really, thanks for what you did |

- Humbleego, awesome sketches, really nice fantasy characters and figures
I specialy like the batman guy, hehe.- Comlock, wow, you're really good at drawing faces, and a question, the old art from 99, how old were you then? I must say, no offence, rather see it as a complimant, but you've improved greatly over the years! v.nicethanos, nice guy with a bat, can't say much more, because I don't know what orange clockwork is but I like him!

Ya, in '99 I'm guessing Comlock was about my age, and yet, he still completely owns my drawings even from back then. |

Trying to get a better handle at skintones, just experimenting with different ways of doing it in photoshop without spending hours getting it to blend right. Erh, I was trying but the face just wasn't working out, so I had to... improvise Oh, and don't mind the skewed right feet. Nuditeh |

On anothere note here is a pic i am in the middle of working on (and i mean Middle) It iwll be some mountain with a old ruined castle on top of one mountain with tree and a lake below the mountains. Mountian pic any early crit feel free to crit and help |

I did a quick paintover. You gotta read up on some lighting theory, First off shadows are allways less saturated then midtones, in your pic, your shadows were much more saturated then anything else. Also the mountains seemed rather close, and the lighting direction suggests they should cast shadows upon eachother. I also tried to give some atmospheric depth, Further away objects are less saturated and blend with the atmosphere's color (the sky in this case). The scene was also lacking some kind of foreground, which was killing the illusion of depth. Then there's some tweaking here and there.

Alright heres a picture i did of a snake that just had its meal in color. I stated earlier im not the best at sketching in color. Please hit me with good feed back! tips on how to improve and what not! Sadly i wish i had one of those pads and didnt sketch with a mouse. P.S. If this image is a we bit blurry and not as sharp as it is in flash and anyone has some tips on how to make it look like it does in flash that would be great. I exported it as a Jpeg. ![]() http://www.uploadfile.info/uploads/dc4b8fd0ea.jpg |
