Nice comp and colorsceme. Lighting also seems different from your usual, you're progressing, I'll tell you that. Like how you build up the texture on the twigs, gotta remeber that. Is the white brush a textured one?

Too bad it's lacking glowing eyes :worry:

Arthur, I like the top sketch, but somehow I feel the weight is on the wrong leg, could be just me.
PS: use a directional instead of a spot for that canvas texture next time :P

yes, the weight looks wrong on the legs now when I look at it=)
directional light? where can I find that? I never realy used photoshopfilters that much. I just started using them recently becasue they are alot of fun^^

Hmm, yeah when you stand like that you kinda lower your hips at your straight leg, placing the weight there. So I guess the supporting leg should be the other one.

Think I might have been mistaking about the filters, did you use the "texturizer" filter?
Directional light is a type of light used in the "lighting effects" filter, if you did the texture trough an alpha channel and the lighting effects filter, then you can choose your type of light to be omni, spot, or directional from the drop down box. I think you just used the texturizer tough, so in that case it doesn't matter, tought the spot just looked a little weird - of all persons in the world, I call someone's art weird... gee.

Sorry if I'm not making sense here :P

Nope, just my basic brush, but I used a Layer Mask on that layer with some scanned in paint ruffage.

Hey Dave

what res did you work on that with to begin with?

Also, while painting how far zoomed in are you?

The original size for that piece was 2560x2048 pixels.

As for zooming, it changes as I get near the end of a piece. When I first start I zoom out to see everything and work out my sketch. Then, I do the rough colors and as I do more detailing, I zoom in more to those areas. But, I rarely zoom more than 100%, but really the actual percentage is irrelavent. I merely zoom until I have the area I want to work on big enough.

Well, I didn't keep track, but maybe 1 - 2 hours, probably closer to 2.
