this looks like my kind of bee's knees! i have lots of pictures to post,... but its not obvious how i'm supposed to post them... can someone please explain so i can show off? (i've been drawing all my life, first recognisable person when i was 1.5 years old!) |

You can use a free imagehost like www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com Then you just need to copy the location from the image (eg. http://imageshack.us/pîcture44.jpg ... ) and put it between the [IMG][/IMG] tags. |

Here's Kraven the Hunter from Spider-man. This was mostly a rendering practice, but I've since regretted his pose a bit. I was going for charging a prey, but it feels stiff to me. And for those of you that are unfamilar with the character (like myself), here's the original design:

Yeah, it does lack the vitality of your other pieces. Nice rendering tough, even tough I wouldn't mind if the lightingsceme was a little more harsh. His left foot also feels a liiitle bit floaty. |

Hey, I like it Espen! That's style right there baby. Oh, and don't compare yourself to anyone else either, your art is as valid as anyone's. People talk about rules, and ideals in art - and that's fine, talk is talk. But it's more than being technically brilliant - it's about honestly expressing yourself. Critically comparing yourself on the same level as established artists like comlock, ang, humble and even that other guy (what’s his name,,,Guinness boy.) will only end in tears really. And once you nurture that internal monologue of 'I'm not that good, I'll never be that good blah blah so why bother sort of thing, my art looks crappy, their art is god's gift to humanity’ etc. its hard to shut it down. Bullshit thinking like that can really hamper anyone's artistic development. Evaluate art and compare for knowledge by all means, but not for ego. And stay away from hero worship alltogether in my opinion, it's just not healthy. Easier said than done. Oh, and here's a message for anyone even brave enough to pick up a pencil in this god damn cynical world - you're fucking awesome now. This planet needs more artists, not less. Anything you create, in my opinion, is valid. This is sort of a ‘do what I say and not what I do’ lecture. Maybe I’m just depressed again. Anyway, I'm genuinely interested in Espen's art. I mean, Check out the bastard sword! And that dude has the lankiest arms I've ever seen. What's his story anyway? Why on earth would he need a weapon like that? And Could he even handle it? Or is it made of plastic? He's not you're typical muscle bound berserker..that's for sure. Seriously, I could weave a few stories (of dubious quality) around that guy. And if you're ever feeling low Espen, just remember that your sword is bigger than his sword.

Hey Zwickel nice pic you got there! But one thing disturbes me a little. That girls throwing arm is pointing down but somehow it looks like the shuriken is flying upwards.
 And here's one I made with painter. I actually don't like that program. I prefer photoshop
