Well, it started out as a lineart experiment, but now it's concept art for a ninja at PvN. So far I have the lineart and flats.

Nope. He wears a mask that completely covers his face. Remember, he's blind so he doesnt need to expose his eyes.

That's an awesome drawing of a ninja, Malkym.

Is it a modern-day ninja [or ninjaesque person], a ninja in a fantasy universe or is it meant to be a proper, feudal Japan ninja?

Uhhh. He lives in the early 1700's. So I dont know what to call him.

There's a finished version of him on the latest page (46) of the Finished Art Thread.

Hola! Just been doing some sketching on new character and its been kinda hard. I want to hear any ones opinion on which you would favor to look like or which one is at least more well kick ass. Their the same but just a bit different. Other then that Im really lost on how that right arm should look. I try even going into that stance and I cant seem to find a way to envision to draw it.
So I would be most happy to accept a decent amount of ya. To show me the light. Psybola if you make another dam flash light pop out of my post ill murder yeah.

Edit.. sorry if there huge. photo bucket does that to them :(

( 5 days later ) Dam the service here now aint what it use to be in the past <_<

I'm diggin' the hair on the second one but I think the face on the first one looks as if it was drawn better.

1700s? That counts as modern ninjaesque person, not a true ninja. :P

Wow, lots of good stuff in here since I last browsed....

Gobi - I like your abstract face. It's very design-y (?). If it were vectorized, it'd look even better...but may I suggest investing in a scanner? ;)

Malakym - That is a great pose. Very dynamic...I really get the feeling of poise, agility & power that one should get from a ninja illustration. May I suggest a slightly lighter shade of black for his clothes? The one you have chosen nearly washes away all your beautiful line work that I saw in the first one. He'd also look even better with a couple other tones.

Master Rade - The first one is definitely the better of the two. If you're having trouble with that right arm, just put the rest of your art on another layer & experiment with roughs on a layer below until you get something that you like. Based on the cheeky expression he's got going, the first thing I see his right arm doing is giving a flicked-sort-of wave :P .

Clink - I like the third drawing. Reminds me of the characters from Home Movies.

Comlock - I love the tree house/monster. If Lemonee Wee had a darker, evil sister, she'd live in it. :fpbls:

Here's the first draft of a lobster character that I'm going to be using for a short sometime in the future. His name is Gallert, & he's the abusive care-taker of another, younger character. He's a disgruntled meth-head who has his own mini meth lab in his small house. When he's not beating his child, he enjoys rotting away watching tv.

Ah, that cleared things up, thanks KiWi. Been bored today, some more doodles:
Piggy with a keg of piss
Foxes with mild adult themes warning
Deformed woman who isn't happy with it
More cartoony foxes al a faux pas or something

Didn't want to show all the pics so I linked. C&C welcome :)

Love your charecter Ketchup Face. But, it almost looks like his head is on backwards. Maybe change the back a bit?

BluDi, er, interesting stuff. I gotta claim the piss drinkin' swine as my favorite.

You're missing a knee joint on those back legs. Nice use of near-complimentary colors. Your shadows are pretty good for the most part, but some areas (like the bottom of the jaw) got missed. Draw some real dogs for practice.

I love the character, Ketchupface, and the only thing i'd like to point out is the (possibly intentional) fact that the two eyes are very different in how much they are covered by the fleshy, back part of the lid. Even that, i'm sure is even intentional, but it did draw a lot of my attention.
