Haha, Anghenfil, lovely poem. Is it your's?

The picture that goes with it is really beautiful. The big round hollow eyes convey the feeling of shame so nicely and the creature's body language... Perfect. :bing:

And the storyboards, oh so brilliant. With some simple colouring it really seems like you've constructed a whole new world there.
I loved the picture where the bunny took the bird (was it a bird?) to a walk and seeing you're working on a short with them is making me feel all excited about it. :D

Rubber, I love the lines... Reminds me of Wes Burt, y'know.

I have a drawing class in art school today... I'll take my camera with me so I can show you the horrible things I've done. :D No kidding, my life drawing is simply scary.
Maybe I'll sketch some people on the way there. Somehow.

This is interesting.

Did you draw it this way deliberately--- or did it start as an accident?

Great drawings everyone! Arrr, so many pages to look trough. The internet was gone for one week here. Seems like I missed alot that week, when I look trough all the threads now^^

Here's some Conan sketches for the thread at drawingboard.org

Yeah, the poem is mine. I get itchy writing fingers when I'm stuck drawing all day. Thanks for the bode of confidence (and yes, it is a bird - white crow). Looking forward to seeing the work you did in class. :)

It wasn't an accident. But if you're asking if I had the pose all planned out, no, of course not. I spend a lot of time moving body parts around until I get it in the places I like, hence why it's so scratchy. If you're asking about the twisted bow-leg, that was deliberate; I wanted him to be distorted, since shame is often is.

Com, brilliant sketches as always. Your posing and silhouette values have improved fantastically since you've been in drawing school. The bottom three are probably my favorite in that respect, but I like the one showing his cute wee bum. :fpbls: Remember to seperate the delts and the pecs a little more.

For the rabbit: Love the legs, love the face, but the arms feel cramped compared to the rest of his attitude. Moving one of them away from his body would fix it.

Chisem, I like your dude. Good details on his suit. Spend more time in your construction and pose stages; His eye is sagging on his face, his pose should be less wooden, and the gun isn't in perspective (the barrel looks twisted towards us compared to the handle). He has a pretty good vibe though, so keep at him.

Gosh, there are some amazing "sketchs" in here.

Thats cool shanewaier, did you use a reference for that? my only frustrating with it is it's so small, I wanna study all the details! can you upload a larger version for us?

Here are some quick exsperiments i did in photoshop, mostly to familierize myself more with the program. There are obvious anatomical problems, expecialy with the arms of the court jester looking fellow and his meat mitten hands.

Totally surrealistic Mad Fox (you don't mind if I call you that?), very much my style, except I can't draw people if my life depended on it, or animals for that matter. You saw my pitiful raven!!! :P

Haha no, i don't mind at all.

Very nice pen sketchs rubber, i really that farmer expecially, has a good sense of weight and mass and you can deffenitly tell he is putting most of his weight on the back foot, leading to a very natural center of balence. Nicely done.

ooh the envy... Some of the spaces between your crosshatchings look blue!--- It's always something fresh with you. (bonus rhyme!)

The alien wife's head looks a little flat--- or skewed. Something's amiss.

I tried sketching this arm and leg off referance, they were drawn to lightly so i darkened it in PS. The top of the arm it too small, and the tricep area is a little messed up.

the shadow on the square bugged me, i knew it wasnt correctly shadowed, ha. tell me if im wrong but i think the shadow is to be looking like this of what i made out of it.

Posted Image

better understanding...
Posted Image

i did this with not much shadow experience, we are going to go over shadows in art at the high school for our next project but we havn't gotten to that yet, so i think im right on what i did, everyone else agree on my change of that shadow?

and this all depends on how you put your lighting on the object and still if you change it in a certain way it still should have that shadow part there(the triangle section you should have shaded where i showed above)
