Hate, hate, hate, but where's the love? Humble likes the love, baby...

Seriously, let me go on record again and say, "I will do a tutorial soon!". This book and school has just got me a little bogged down right now, but it should clear up in a couple weeks and then I promise I get a tute out. But, until then, here's a another piece I just completed. It's another one of those backgrounds from before. Today, I broke out the oils for the rock face and it was fun! Anyways, hope ya like...

:o That looks really cool, Humble. Those trees kind of remind me of the "Truffula" trees in "The Lorax" by Dr. Suess.

Sorry, should have been more specific. All these are in Corel Painter. I just used the oil brushes in Painter today. Normally I've been doing oil pastels, pencils and my custom brushes. But today I customized a Blender brush that blends oils smoother and more to my liking than the prefab oil Blender (which is why I avoided oils before.).

Again, all these are %100 digital, right now to the sketches. Real life oils are a pain in the butt and I've never mastered them. In traditional art, I've always prefered acrylics... but that's another thread... ;)

Thanks. I'll just be happy to just to have a job where I can draw or animate all day (it's ridiculously competitive out there, I'm a little worried).

I've done most of the rough animation. But, I need to finish the BGs before I do my refined cells. I'll be sure to post the final product here (maybe it might even entice someone to buy the book! ;) ).

Masterpieces? Hardly. But, I guess I have been breaking the rules by submitting finished pieces. I just figure it's silly to start a different "Look what I did" thread each time. It's much easier to post here....

I sorry... :(

Oh, BTW, SUBMIT MORE MORE MORE, lardie(I like the J&Hyde)! And Whim, no one cares whether it's scribbles or not, SUBMIT SUBMIT SUBMIT! :bing:

Thanks alot.
By the way, keep using this to submit finished pieces. It is a little bit pointless to start a new topic everytime.

Here's a suggestion, when you start a piece in Photoshop, create a new layer and draw your line art on that, then create another layer and move it underneath your line art layer. But you colors on that layer, that way, you don't need to "back off" near a line, you can color right into it and it will stay in tact because it's on the top layer. Make sense? Good start though, keep working it....

BTW, Nurbs, I likes grampa joe.....

Great grandpa and Grandma mr-nurbs and bodot:)

I liked that Jeckyl and hyde you draw Jemooky:) Even dough I dont know who theye are=)

And Humbleego..That background is just so good looking...

And InFlamE..When you have the "lineart" on the toplayer, make shure that layer is set on "multiply" instead of "normal" This makes the white colour transparent...

I havent been drawing any new pics latley, and they are mostly unfinnished..

An old PS pic I dint finnish for a long long time ago...
