Damn what did you do with that compression. What program are you using? If its ps, go to in file>save for web then use the options in the small drop down window to the right there. mess around with it :). |

I think your drawings are very good. =) As for the hands, I know they're a pain to draw; I don't like them either. =P I think if you try to draw from the joints of the fingers instead of drawing each one as a straight line you'll be much happier with the results. Draw in the knuckles and look at how the bones connect in your own fingers. Anyways, great drawings and I hope that helped! |

i always try to make a line for the bone and for the knuckles i draw them as a ball but when im doing the shape of the hand it always looks weird <_< but ill give my best maybe i can post improvements in a while

I drew this on the plane ride over. Through the few flights afterwards, the image was smeared to all proper fuck. I managed to almost save it, but it was still a lot better before. Also, any flaw in this sketch, I blame on turbulence. I've never been a fan of the short, stocky dwarf image. I think of dwarves as large (like, 8 feet tall), insanely strong bearded men. But I guess that's just me. Though I didn't do much for the shield, I purposely made the axe seem like it would need to be wielded by 2 hands. Since the soldier is so damn beefy, it seems natural that he'd be able to swing that weapon with one hand and be able to hold a shield in the other. |

malakym if dwarves were like really big and, well*too lazy too recite or quote* wouldn't that make em barbarians or vikings?I mean I have always thought of vikings the way you described your dwarf but u drew a pretty good*cough* 'dwarf'

That's probably because Tolkien just ripped off the Norseman culture for his dwarves. And when it comes to fantasy races, we all look at Tolkien's work as law. |

katatafish ,I was just wondering why all your fingers are so sharp, or don't you ever cut your nails? Those hands are rather good but they would better belong in a horror movie or something
 .I suppose if you want to draw it a little more realistic like you see your own hand, you gotta add a little more flesh to it, and ehm....oh also don't put your thumbs so far off i think they look awfully small.But you're of to a good start really.oh and malakym i still see him as a viking/norwegianee? Just give a little more explanation pls to how you see dwarves or if i'm nagging just tell me And i appreciate thinking about the box man bravo

haha liked the joke with the nails...i just wanted to get the bone knuckle stuff look right, so i simplified the fingers woops maybe if i make any progress i can show you some fingers that have nails but thanks for the comment a lot :lol: |
