Black guy.
|
![]() My new character and protagonist of my flash series (assuming i ever get flash back on my computer). He uses a metal shard of an arrow tip as a sword, and a farthing as a shield. I call him Scibble. And like all good students, i did this on the back of my homework in the class right before. I liked this drawing so much that I decided not to turn in the homework. College, here I come!

FLASH GENIUS (I wish...)
|
hahahah Mal, I've done that before too...(although mine was AP Physics, so I made a copy 1st...lol) Love the character, you could go plenty of ways with him. What time period is he set in? 21st century or are we medieval with him as some sort of warrior? |

What's the point in repeating what others have already said? And i don't want to critique on something i'm not entirely sure of too. I don't want give false information or teach something wrong. But it just sucks always being neglected for that silly reason, even if it sucks tell me I won't cry. |

Don't worry about it whether your opinions are "right" or "wrong." Giving people feedback of any kind helps them improve. If your advice is blatantly counter to good artistic sense, then one of the more experienced artists will correct you. It's no big deal. No-one would critique Humble's work if everyone felt that being less experienced excludes you from feedback. As far as being neglected, you're not really putting up drawings that look like you put significant effort into them. I know you're less experienced, but the fact of the matter is that it's easier to critique pieces with more progress on them, even a sketchy (but complete) character. I don't really expect feedback on some of the simpler drawings I do for that very reason. The fact that you're drawing should be its own reward. Nor are you being neglected for a silly reason. We are a small community with limited resources. Everyone needs to pitch in to make it work. Granted, people have a bad habit here of ignoring the new guy unless he/she's outstandingly good (neonakis, kib, etc). Be persistant.

The Angel of baffling contradictions http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...ontradictio.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...tradiction2.jpg This drawing has special metaphorical meaning to me, but I can’t explain what that is just yet. I can say however, that it’s the first drawing I’ve done using the hairline pencil tool in ink mode (where it completely follows where you draw without smoothing it off) so while I can make more details, it’s also harder to draw with. However, should I perfect the use of this method, I can see my flash career really taking leaps and bounds. This drawing can only be understood from both pictures, one focusing on the detail of the angel herself, the zoomed out picture looking at the whole view of the table and the flowchart. There are two special contradictions contained within the design of the picture itself. @SimMa - Cool mountain drawing, looks very Brackenwood-esque! |
