hahahah Mal, I've done that before too...(although mine was AP Physics, so I made a copy 1st...lol)

Love the character, you could go plenty of ways with him. What time period is he set in? 21st century or are we medieval with him as some sort of warrior?

His shield is a farthing coin with the 1200's design on it, So I'd wager around that time, though I wouldn't dare restrict him to the real world. I'll try my hand at creating my own creatures for the world.

Another one i did in 10 minutes in flash. My grandfather used to draw alot of those water-with-mountain landscapes before he died.

Fishing for old boots
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...foroldboots.jpg
A rather quick sketch done while in desperate need of the therapeutic effect of freeform drawing. I started off with a guy fishing and drew a tank of water for him to be fishing into, and took the old idea of catching old boots to a new level. The weird scaffolding platform came from the perspective looking odd and seeming to need correcting.

Gyakuten Saiban form drawings
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...saibanforms.jpg
While trying to draw my latest drawing, I found great difficulty in getting the basic form of the rough outline part correct, so I’ve decided to start doing some less detailed form oriented drawings to try and learn how to. In striving to improve the detail of my work (as seen in the Angel of baffling contradictions) I have lost sight of the bare basic artistic principles. However, in that drawing the form was easy as she was at a table pointing at a detail on the flowchart, which is a decisive action that is easy to form. A regular standing pose, however, is more difficult to know what form it should take.

More concept art for that flash I want to (but probably will never) do with that mouse. Here's one of the fairies that accompany him throughout his adventures.

I guess it was back in Hawaii when I realized how hot/cute women look in cloth tops and sarongs. So I sort of used that for fairy clothing.

I feel cheap for doing this. Mainly because I drew the fairy way too small to really do much detail. I started to draw a larger picture of her (right sketch) but I figured that's about as far as I'm gonna get before screwing the picture up, so I'll just stop at that. :P

*sigh* I'll try to finish the drawing :yfok:

Worked on the fairy a little. I know there's a lot of parts I need to work on but this is all I did for 10 minutes of wingin' it.

I call her Mayflower.

[Edit] I fixed her lips, 'cuz they were bugging the hell out of me, but I'm too lazy to re-scan and upload the sketch.

That's what happens when you lightly stab the paper with your pencil to make freckles. :P

Like the perspective on this one but the way he holds the sword and the way his left arm bends makeit seem a little awkward, loosen up the arm a bit maybe so it flows more? These are good sketches from what I can tell

Mal: you know I love your work, this is no exception

Katafisch: have fun with the tablet! I remember trying to get used to my A6 Volito 2, it was so weird

effin: Beautiful, I've never been able to do loose style paintings well. I love how they flow and keep it up! Here's a guy who uses a similar style, maybe you can find pointers from looking at his work or maybe not Pierrick

C0mBineD: Heh, it was after I had played wipeout pure. I was also listening to the "Year Zero" album by Nine Inch Nails. I kept thinking of a destroyed world ;).

Katatafisch: Thank you :D. I did post one sketch a page or two earlier, just an old pencil sketch of mine.

Pillow: Thanks :) - its quite simple, just use big brushes and think about the shapes. I myself am still learning, this is the first 'loose' style painting I've done. So its a nice learning experience.
Thanks for the link btw :D, this guy has some awesome stuff

Another brain fart ;D - this one took me about an hour or so. I got a bit picky with the hair while trying out a new style to do it in. I was procrastinating, and I felt like being random.
