And Tordy ( ), I know you hate to hear this, but it is a little bit bracken-esque. The thick black outlines is all you, but the green, blue, and gray seems a bit familiar... I say all you need to do is vary the colours a little. Add a little yellow here and some pink there. Then bingo... masterpiece. I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. I think that the colours are actually quite the opposite to what you would define as 'brackenwood colours'. And to add to that, is there some kind of patent on colour shades relating to brackenwood? to my knowledge there isn't. I'm sorry to bite, but tordeck cops way too much shit from everyone about "copying adam", and frankly, it pisses me off. it really f*king pisses me off. majorly. Lay off him, everyone. He is trying to invent his own things, and because they might be stationed in a forest (fairly generic if you ask me) and forests tend to be made of greens and blues, it doesn't mean he is copying Adam. scurries back into corner* Actaully, I'm not backing down from my original position. I think you misunderstand my basic point. I'll say this: yes, to me it looks like a brackenwood scene. Did he trace over Adam's? No. Did he rob his colour pallet? Hope not. Did he use Adam's as inspiration? Probably. These are not bad things, per se. eugh.... Okay, so I was writing a big argument about the similarities between this and Adam's work, when I realised that wasn't even my point. I'm not trying to say stop making these drawings, since the content of them IS original. I was honestly just trying to point out what makes this all too familiar to brackenwood, which makes it harder to appreciate on a style level. Look at synj vs horrid. That's set in a forest, but by changing the colour and the way the trees looks, you can't even put it in the same category as brackenwood. I'm having a hard time getting my thoughts straight here... I'll stop for now, and post something clearer later if I need to Edit: For TordecK: I need to make this really, really, really, really, REALLY clear that I do not hate your drawings, your composition, or any of that. I just want to see you branch off in a seperate direction. I hope you don't take this to hard, since I am trying to help, even if that's not obvious.

No! I shade My drawing's a like some one else does,Does that mean my drawings have anything like Yours,Or tordecks or any one else's No I use the same tool as many other's just as tordeck doesI,E, same colors And His is based in the forest so was Bambie. So I dont think tordeck has anything to do with Adam's Tordeck keep up the good work! Lucas...

I think I got a little crazy It's just that whole shades/scribble thing didn't leave much left for him... And seeing as his style was predominantely "chluaid-ish" what else was he supposed to do - it was the way he'd learnt to draw. Give him time, he'll develop his own style eventually. These things just take time again, sorry, that was my bad

After such an enormous response from my fans, and my mailbox being so full of fan-mail and love letters that the entire server crashed for 18 hours, I have decided to make a poster for my upcoming movie! Okay, maybe it didn't go exactly like that. Just play along, alright? Yeesh. Okay, this isn't much of a poster, but I was just dicking around in flash, and I kept going until I had this. Good? Bad? I don't care, really. Just something new.

For this one, I used the same kind of style that I posted yesterday. I'm not sure how well my characters will look against it (given the fact that there's too much contrast between the ultra clean edges of my characters and the erractic lines of this one). Let me know what you think.

Right now I'm almost feeling like the line weights are competing to much, but that can be fixed. I'm glad you guys like the style of it. I can't tell you how much fun this was to make. For some reason something just clicked with the style. It seems like it was the first time that drawing wasn't forced and mechanical. I could just go with the flow. As for when my animation will be out... I don't know... Might be a while. I'm going through the whole process, from storyboards to thumbnails to animation. But if you guys want to track my progress, I can start posting groups of thumbnails, concepts, storyboards and the like.
