today I tried to sketch some backgrounds with flash.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/elehpant/SKETCH.png
in this one, I tried to follow the path of Adam's little background tutorial and tips from the "How to draw a tree" thread. It's not coloured, and I probably won't colour it too. It was just a little test-sketch or so.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/elehpant/misc-tree.png

and that's it for today! :D

you could make the moon become a little transparent at the edge to give it a glowing feel

either make a gradient or go to
modify>shape>feather something
it makes however many evenly sized rings you tell it to around the selected object which gradually become less opaque.

Anyhow, enough of that. Sorry for pulling out the star wars geekage, but I need some outlet since the new movie probably won't be released where I live for a while. Ah well, I'll just have to pick it up on low quality DVD (that'll be 3 dollars  )
I'm rambling. Long story short: Bad picture

Sharlston: I'd reccomend using dark shades of blue/green for coloring that forest, with the occasional highlight. (you did that great on the tree in the middle) I'd suggest a very dark, neutral brown for the forest floor, unless you were wanted it to look like a swamp.
In which case you should stick to greens... I wonder what's in that tree? :bitey:

And that lightsaber picture is great looking... No matter where its origins lie.

Here's a dark something I threw together today. I need help with the cloak shading!!
Sorta looks like someone familiar... *scratches head* :)

Working some concepts for the Weekly Challenge on Polycount. The theme is Steampunk, which in a nutshell like building robots and such using older technologies, specifically steam engines... like this chap...
