I love that style of robot. I'd take clanking gears and steam shooting out of the head over wires and computer chips any day
That's the kind of thing they did in Sky Captain and Steamboy (which I'm not too fond of). My one suggestion would be to use less-clean seems on the robot. Like what you did on the foot here: ![]() Obviously, techniques of shaping metal were somewhat limited in that era, so the shapes wouldn't be as clean as you have them. But it's science fiction to start with, so none of that really matters. Excellent work, especially on the colouring. That hat makes him look so classy

Ja, its PS. Since it is a short film, I decided to colour every single background in PS. No sound added, and the SWF allready takes over 1MB. (and Im about 40% done) |

The Token Black Guy

com i know nothing about ur project, but i gotta crit for u. the shot with the blur seems a bit off, both charactes are almost the same size in comparison,so the blur doesn't quite seem to work there,if anything they shud both be blurred is they are the same size. so in ur case..i think u need to make the blured character allot larger *closer to the camera* or the un blurred character smaller. apart from that excellent job, looking foward to it! |

thanx, all And wow, yeah... Thanks for noticing Noob. Ill resize the blond hair guy to a smaller size. I cant belive I didnt see that  man, And its pretty obvious too maby Ill make a tutorial for the backgrounds. I just found a faster way to make lights and shadows in PS, because I never had a standard tecniqe to begin with. : (the backgrounds where first made in flash, and coloured. Then I used PS to make the light\shadowFX and stars) |

and move him down the screen a bit. And I'm pretty sure you'd want to make the background blurred too (if following the technical rules). I like the look of the movie so far. And I think you're tutorial idea is great. Keep up the great work. |

yeah, and move him down a bit. But Is the background gonna be bluured too? And only the guy In the middle will be the one who's not bluured (EDIT: oh yeah, thats true. I just had to think for a moment =)) After that the the guy in the red cap is gonna get sharper. So I guess I bluur everything behind him then. (yepp, its the classic Newgrounds bluur\sharpen cliché =P ) |

Loooove the style on those guys, Rubberhead. Desert-warriors! I liked the leather armour on the first guy with the fasteners going across his chest. All the belts pretty cool looking. If you built up some more contrast on the pictures, they'd look real sharp!... In the third picture looks like the right arm is too short, and the shoulder on that side is set too low. |

Yeah, pencil (HB). Some of them are a bit rushed at some stages. So they might contain some errors. |

Here is a pic from the new storybook Im working on. not so much a sketch as it is a finished piece.....This new storybook is heavily influenced by "BITEY of BRACKENWOOD" and "PROWLIES"....I really liked how Adam built the mood with his vegetatian...Im really working hard to emphasize the forest in this story (not so much this pic though) |

Those look really nice, Rubbie. They have lots of details and the lines are so clean! I wish I could do that.. The last one has to be my favorite. Good work, Jettison! It reminds me of some children's storybooks.. I like it. |
