Well, ladies and gents, I've made a horrible mistake.
That mistake was doubting ArtRage (free art program, find it in the ressource thread)
My mind has been set free!

Not to shabby for my first real picture on a freeware program, eh? (Canadian stereotype, eh?)

To all you MS paint users out there, I think this might be the key to your salvation. It's such a blast to use. Give it a shot.

I recognize that rock-man. Did you make another on your site
*checks web page*
*quickly closes web site because it makes me feel jealous*
This is all excellent work. I especially like the freckles on the blue guy's face. Your attention to detail is amazing.

And noob, looking good as always. I admire your painting stlye, because you emulate real-life painting (plus ctrl+Z ;) )

Rubber: sweet colouring job. I like the soft look to the arm-band thing.

Elehpant: Gawd, those characters are hilarious. I dare you to submit that to NG. Odds are you'll get front page.

(And sorry for anyone else I missed, but I'm only responding to as many posts as are in the topic preview)

Edit: Random question, but I have no better place to ask it. Does anyone know what the name or URL of that webcomic made in flash is? It was sort of a modern day science-fiction/fantasy story from what I remember. I ask because they had some pretty nice drawing tutorials which I wouldn't mind going through again. Thanks

Here is a group that produces a web comic that is really good and they also have some tutorial information on how they work. Hope this is helpful. -JK

Alpha Shade

This is the best web comic I have ever seen as far as the use of Flash to integrate action with still panels.

decent espen, but the thing i noticed right when i opened it, was that it looked like his arm was sprouting out of his back. also the hand on the messed up arm, is backwards, the fingers should be facing the viewer. if u fix that, u will have a solid picture. ;)

-edit-
a painting i did in about 30-45 min

relax.... your picture is great. Your tree is good. But life less.

No leaves or wind or some other nature aspects.

But i would choose a different back ground. Like winter.

Anyone want to have a ArtRage competition :D ?

And Colesif, I really like the tree. I looks a bi t funky at the top, and you can see some shading strokes coming out onto the grass, but the trunk part is amazing.

EDIT: I don't feel like making another post, so here's something new:

Looks exelent Colesif=).
But one small thing:try to use a harder brush at the edges (and maby bluur it after)
Becasue the shadows gets brighter when they come closer to the tree.(that makes it look like the three is floating in the air)
They should get sligtly darker instead

I did some quick fix in photoshop to show you what i mean...
(also did a bit texturing in some areas. Sorry, couldent resist=))
