Colesif, I'm really, really impressed with the new design. Something about it just clicks for me.
So I hope you don't mind, but I had to make a little fan art. :D

Posted Image

haha, i love it, im actually kinda flattered that u made that, thats my 1st fan art EVER! YAY! :D i like how hes hunched over, kinda gives him a sneaky, aspect to him, that looks awesome man!!!! :wbitey: I also like your choice of colors for the fluff on his chest and ears.... hmm. i might have to take that and run :P

-edit- looks kinda like a thief with that sword, now that i think about it. :)

actually, I WANT to :P
my final goal for lucky is to render him in 3d. (once i buy maya in 10 million bagillion years) with fur, and a body similar but not exactly the same as Puss in boots (from shrek 2) so i would actualy liek to see what he would look like in fur as well. thanks for that tut man.

i dont think il be able to do it this weekend though, cuz i gotta go out of state, and if i were to draw, it would be on a terrible monitor that would kill my eyes and prolly make the quality bad :( so possibly monday ill do it :D

(edit)
i decided to do a quick picture before I left

Crits plZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz
i hope im not making him to human looking, i might have to shorten his legs a bit or something
edit- i see why he looks to human in this picture, its cuz his legs are bent more like a humans than a cats, my bad. :worry:

in wanna see lucky animated!!! :P

::heh:: yeh, me too, Munch. Me too.

Jett that's Xlent! I'd love to be able to sit in front of a poster sized version of it for at least twenty minutes or so... Senôr Nurbs is right.. it takes a while to drink it all in. GJ!

Cole: I'm a Lucky fan and I agree that the posture and stance is a little too human. Nice pic just the same but it doesn't convey that coiled feline ready-to-pounce imagery quite the way you usually portray him.
Prolly shorter legs, tilt the blade back o'er his shoulder and have him lean for'ard a bit more might do the trick.
Otherwise nice job. I'm enjoying seeing this character evolve!

'kay... now about twenty pages of The Sketch Thread to catch up on!

im glad people actually Like my character, that adds to my motivation a nice amound
to mig- yeah i remodeled him yesterday, (u can see him 1 page back) but i wanted to do a quick drawing today (pressed for time cuz i have to go on a trip) and i wanted to try something with how he holds a sword (that was the main focus of that picture) and i kinda messed the legs up in the process, he is supposed to be a lot more hunched over and evilish looking

it figures i can draw a human body when im not trying to :yfok:

edit-im gonna redo his legs a bit now, and when i get to my other house, ill finish it, that way that picture wasnt a total waste :)
this is to the post after this one to munch: Thanks! :D

Killer stuff, Jet. There's many places that can print it up for you, it's mostly a matter of cost... getting it "real deal" printed is expensive especially if you're doing small runs...

BTW, dig the sig....

I like the samurai-style sword stance. Very cool.
You're right that in my fan-art I was going for a bit of a sneaky-sneaky thief sort of character, but I don't really know what lucky's story was, so I just threw him in whatever situation.
Actually, I think I actually made him like that because I liked the smile you gave him. I tried to go with a scowl (which you pulled of extremely well in your new pic), but I couldn't get it to work. So the rest was kind of built up on his smile, and a sneaky ninja/pirate/thief seemed to fit the part in my mind. Maybe that dosen't make a lot of sense.

As for your new picture:
-Love the depth you gave to his eye.
-I think you should hint at thumbs. Just to make it look like the sword's not velcroed to his arms.
- Great scruffy look
- legs are much better in this revision.
-Suggestions for legs: I might be confusing this with rabbits, but I think when cats 'stand up' (like in cartoons or when you hold one up), they stand on their toes, and their heels are off the ground like a second kneecap. In other words, it looks like they have two joints in their legs. It also gives them a read-to-pounce look.

To jettison: Nothing bad to say about it. Absolutely brilliant.

:D thanks for the crit jem!

if you look on my 2nd picture, u can kinda notice i tried getting him on his tippy toes, at least on right foot, his left was kinda planted to the ground (my mistake) Im kinda torn with making his feet cuz if they are to small, it will look like there is no possible way for him to balance, but if they are to big, they just dont fit the part, so i gotta find a happy medium between the two i suppose, you managed to pull it off quite wel in your picture tho ;)

I also 100% agree that i shuold work on making the thumbs more apparent.

Now, get ready to laugh at me. I rock a du rag on the regular! Pastey ol white-bread Bleego.

Cept my mine more function than fashion. It keeps the hair out of my face when I'm working.

I guess mine might not be official though, it's not that spandex material. It's just a cut up t-shirt.

Although I gotta agree with Bleego, mine is more function than fashion statement! I wear it climbing and biking, and also have a few leather skullcaps from a few Sturgis trips. :D

To Noob:

Actually, I stil searching for that very thing myself. I didn't like my lamo voice for Capt. Kwanzaa and I wanna find a good one for the next episode.

None of my "afro american" friends have deep voices. Perhaps that because I go to an art school. We're not exactly a tough bunch.

Have you tried NG? I've never done it myself, but many people on there get other NG members to do Voice stuff.

I have one white friend who can do a decent deep voice, but I haven't heard him try the Richard Roundtree or Isaac Hayes slant on it....

[edit] Glad I'm not the only one, Eye. I think that's the first pick I've seen of you. You look like you're going to lead me to the desert to hunt for peyote... :D love it...
