 Wow, Nurbsie, that's one nice and composite! Looks like the same drawing. Funny stuff.

Ok Moosey, on your piece:

Not bad at all. Here's my unwanted advice. Loosen up and by more confident on your strokes. The ever so short multiple strokes show me that you're a little affraid of messing it up. Don't be.

Go big and bold. Don't worry if a little line is out of place, that's what a sketch is. Keep it loose and throw down stokes like you're painting on a huge wall. Get with the rhythm and feel it, man!

Humble-Out...

dude tanks humble it feels cool to have a drawing even acknoledged i understand what you mean by be more confident with my strokes but that sort of etched in look with the little lines is what i was shooting for but thanks for the advice about it i was just sort of expirementing with cross hatching

:o
ALLLLLL the time, for awhile I totally stopped drawing on paper (I blame it on lack of scanner) so when I finally got back to it, I drew a line out of place (oops) went straight for ctrl-z and I still do that, my hand doesn't instantly move for it, but I get a wierd ghost feeling of pressing it down and having my troubles go away :yfok:

Antiseal, very nice shading. Quite impressed with that part of the drawing, and I like the design of his armor. As for crits, keep practicing your anatomy; a lot of little things are off, like the length of his arms, the angle of the shoulders, etc. That will come with more practice. My biggest crit is that it looks very unnatural for that sword to be hanging behind his legs. When people are holding things, their hands naturally hang thumb-forward, and the way it is right now it looks like he's stabbing himself in the knees. Still, the coloring is very pleasant :)

Bussman, I like the use of the halo to offset it from the background, and I like that you're getting away from using pure black. I can't tell what it is, though...

Ya I do get mad when I need to erase lines, because then you either miss some, or you have to redraw a few lines, or it doesn't erase fully...

makes me mad enough to eat your babies

but I sketched this in flash instead

If your opacity and flow is turned up to 100%, it shouldn't do this. I had this problem a few days ago and finally fixed it by reinstalling the program.
