I wanted test photoshop, so i made a quick skribble, colourd it and shaded it. If you can tell, i tried to mimic comlocks technique.  I need tips and crits too improve. Can i get some, please?

Mad Prophet I was wondering what format you save it under. Why is it when I scan a picture that I draw it comes out a little pixel like. Any one knows what iam talking about.

Bussman: heres a screenshoot of my layer setup. The reason I make them is because it will be easier to edit after. like if I want to move some of the ravens I could just drag them all around the screen without destroying the background. I can adjust the sky colour without adjusting the colour on everything else. and so on.. (im still not finnished with the adjustments on this painting, so its not finnished)

er.. dpi... crud, I forgot what it meant but you should see it in the panel when you scan, you know, were you choose if you want to can it in black and white, sizing. I scan mine in dpi 300. If you mean when I save, you're probably getting pixels from saving in JPG. If it's a highly detailed picture or something I can't keep clean when saving in JPG, I save in PNG. It maintains all the details but the file size is larger. Cromlock:  :staring in utter awe:

Noob - Awesome Anatomy Man, lol, the faces make me laugh, they remind me of like faces from the Joker off of Batman Overall, the anatomy is pretty much perfect Yoganimation - Not bad painting there, done in PS or Painter I assume. The only thing I would say is that right now the face looks a little flat in the forehead and ear regions, the mouth and jaw area are really good shading and highlighting, but you just need to finish it up!. Show some more stuff so we can crit more which will in turn make you better! |

meh! no biggy,i was mainly focusin on using curves to create form,not on the *anatomy* in that sense. but yeh i see it..as well as the unfinished hand humble,that i just copied and pasted from the previous attempt :lol: Edit: now that i look at it more,that piece of fat stickin out his back is pissin me off,i'll have to redo it,the shame!!!  YOGA i'm liking the gurl pic! reminds of a freaky girl i was painting a while ago. |

wha!? if thats how good ur 'farts' turn out, id love to see ur pics when u shit urself!! 
its bloody good. do u map out what u are gonna draw first on paper, or do u go in for the kill in Photoshop (or whtever program) straight away? well suppose cuz ya got a cintiq its easier to get stuck into it straight away. im sorta geting the hang of colouring in PS, but intially drawing in it i cant really do yet. havent really tried much but like humble ive been farting aboot as well, except mine stink lol:  slight ironic tone, as the giant juxaposes the ickle flower. there is actaully a meaning behind the pic tough. line art done in flash, exported as png and brough into PS, and then coloured. its only bout 60% done, still need to finish the legs then add the finer details and textures to the skin etc, like lumps and hairs and creases and crevices (sp) and then clean up the edges and add coloured lines instead. plus background needs done, and since my bgs look like poop im not looking forward to it. crits and tips! |
