Okay sorry if this should be in Flash help, but its an Actionscript project, but the problem seems more like a Flash problem. Oh well, heres the problem:

Okay I have my lil chrecter, and I want to be ale to have the player drag clothes and stuff on him. SO, I know the action scriot part of it, and thats all working fine. And the dude is the only thing I dont want to move. Now I geuss I have two problems.

1#: When I create each object on different layers, it all moves together, instead of each object moving individually.

2#: I want the clothes to fit right on, so when i make the movie clip, I have to make it on the screen so I can trace it over the dude, and then convert it to a symbol. But then I can only have 1 on the layer or I wont be able to select the whole thing.
As you can probly tell this is kind of a pintless loop. Help pleasel.

#1 you'll need to have all the clothes in different symbols. Each symbol should have its own code so you can move them seperatly.

#2 errr, not sure what your asking.

OK. First of all there should be no problem tracing over your character to create your separate clothes movieclips.

I would just have an instance of your character on the stage and on a separate layer trace over him to produce the graphic for your clothing item, whether it be a shirt, pants, or whatever. Once you have your graphic complete just convert it to a movieclip symbol. It might be helpful to lock all the other layers when you're selecting the graphic.

Is that what you're having difficulty with? I don't know how you've coded the drag and drop stuff so I can't really comment on that part of your project.

Okay thanx, that problems solved. But now I have another drag and drop quistion: Animated Draggable Movie Clips. I dont get it, because what do you do when you have to convert the movie clip into a button?

You can have the animation inside a movie clip inside a button. if that made any sense. So, you make your animation inside a movie clip. Then you can right click the movie clip and then convert it into a button symbol.
