i made a button and did the whole gotoandplay deal.....and i made it go to the next frame.....and checked it for errors and it says there are none....i threw some random stuff on the next frame and tested the button....but the button wont go past frame 1.....what do i do?? |

its a movieclip i turned into a button....i put the script on the button then i put stop(); on that frame....then i added another keyframe and put stop(); on it....i went to preview movie and clicked on the button and it wont go to the next frame....it just makes the movie clip start over....i also did the up down over frames for the button |

From what you say it sounds like you've done everything right, but maybe you should host the .fla file or something so that we can double-check it for you

alright nevermind guys...i just made a whole new MC and button and it works....i dont know what was wrong with the other one....its exactly the same as the new one....oh well...it works now...thanks for tryin to help :lol: |

You'll need to host it on the web somewhere. I'd reccomend getting an account at freewebs.com or something. Just a thought, does it work if you put gotoAndStop() instead of gotoAndPlay() ? |
