hiya there, just passing by. I thought this was a good place to ask my question.

I need to make a site, and the people for who I had to do it are becoming very angry. What I'd like to know is, is there an easy way to play an avi or mpeg movie in a flash file; what do I need to do do accomplisch that? (the avi not being in the flash itself, just a link.)

and is there someone who can help me with an imageviewer, with some thumbs which you can click in order to show the full images?

plz help , I'm becoming very desperate!

Put this code in a button

Code:

on (release){
getURL("http://TheSite.com/ThePlaceWhereTheFileIs");
}

Pretty much use the getURL tag can open up any webpage you want. Make specific html pages to embed your movie files in and use the getURL tag to link to those pages. The code above will work if put inside a button.

I suggest you put anchors on the frames with the URL buttons so when the user clicks "Back" on their browser, at will go back to the same place it was before it opened the new page. (anchors can be added in the same place frame labels (names) are placed).

I think it's best to just use a popup instead of playing inside of the SWF, tbh.

Imageviewer allready taken care of.

You could make a swf that contains the movie, and then import that swf into your main website using loadMovie or loadMovieNum.
