True Story: We figured this out while looking for houses, scared the pants off me.

When my family first moved up to the mountains we were looking for a house to own, ours being a proud family we did not want to rent. We went from house to house looking for "just the right one", finally it seemed we found it. Not too far away from the main village we found a beauty; 3 stories, indoor vacume, nice drive way (HARD to find in the mountains), and a wonderful location all at a low affordable price. However the entire time my family and I were looking at this house we had the feeling that there was just something wrong about the whole deal.

Well as we split up to explore the house on our own I stumbled upon the master bedroom. As I steped in the room the temperature seemed to drop a few degrees, although the house lacked air conditioning, and I shut the door behind me. I looked about the room and was just about to leave when an ear splitting scream tore through the house. Naturally I suspected a member of my family so I rushed downstairs to see what was the matter only to find that NO ONE else had heard the noise. While I'm not very into the supernatural I do believe in the after life and my parents asked the salesman about the history of the house.

As it turns out that the last and only owner of the house "comitted suicide" in his master bedroom. One day when the newspapers started pileing up in front of his house the police came to knock on the door at the request of a neighboor who had not heard from or seen the old man for a long stretch of time. Well when the police went up to knock on the door they found that it was open and decided to take a look around. The search of the house turned up nothing untill one officer noticed that the master bedroom door was locked. After knocking several times one of the officers who claimed he had a "bad feeling" kicked the door in and went in the room. A quick scan of the room and closet turned up nothing and the police were just about to leave one of the noticed the smell of rotting meat coming from under the bed. Underneath was the old man, gaged and broken in half. As it turns out there were no fingerprints in the room and no sighn of forced entery other than the one made by the officer who broke in so the Police had no choice but to rule it as a suicide.

To my knowlege the house has still not sold to this day. :wbitey:

So what did you think?

Uhh, what do you mean by "broken in half". Was he actually in two pieces? I'm not so sure how that could be considered suicide.

More like folded in half like a piece of paper...and how that could be considered a suicide is my point. There was NO evidence that anyone had been in the room other than the old man. All the doors and widows were locked...with deadbolts! No fingerprints or even DNA. But disregarding all that how could one man do that to himself?
