I want to have a "sign up for newsletter" field on my web page with a blank field (for user input) and a submit button. Is there a way to do this and have that info emailed to me w/out using php or sql or asp etc?

You can use a form to send you an e-mail. You'll have to look up the HTML coding for it, because it's been ages since I've actually used it.

Edit:

If I remember right, the method I used was along the lines of:
Code:

<FORM action="mailto:someone@someplace.com" method="post">
Form stuff here.  Whatever <input /> tags you need.
<INPUT type="submit" />
</FORM>
