lol noob. ill add a piece of code called _editskintone (); maybe it will work. AAANNNYWAYS thanks for the comment boundless and Jack. ya gave me more enthusiasm, so here is one i started today, but im sick of it already. needs more color shit, its not finished but just showing progress. New Idea need to add images to each page too. plus can anyone answer me this. In flash text looks crappy, its all smooth and doesnt looked pixelated. What is the font that u can use in flash that is actually looks like words on a HTML page. pixelated and shit. i think it looks better. |

Sounds like you're describing pixel fonts, here's a popular site: http://www.fontsforflash.com/?id2=jn Here's a tutorial to using them (Flash MX and previous http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/pixelfonts.htm BUT you can use ANY font as a pixel font... in Flash 7. select the font tool, and in the properties window there's an "alias text" button (under the bold button) which forces any font to go pixely. Pretty nifty really. But prior to Flash 7 (MX 2004) you need to use pixel fonts. |

Seeing all these great sites really inspired me to make one myself
Think i'll start right away  But there is something i need to know... I know how to make an animation play when I mouse over a button, but how do I make an animation play when I ''mouse off'' the button? |

u mean when u roll off a button? like without clicking it at all? usually when u make a button and u want it to go to and play frame 15 (for example), when u select or double click the goto code in the actions menu, this code usually appears: on (release) { gotoAndPlay("15"); } so its when u let ur finger go off the mouse, is when the code will execute. if u want it to be as soon as the cursor hovers over the button without clicking it, click the line: on (release) { and above it options shud appear, and choose rollOver (unclick release too btw) on (rollOver) { gotoAndPlay("15"); } this means that when ur mouse hovers instead of click, the code shud make the movie go to frame 15 etc. |

ahhh, thanks alot man
EDIT: hmm i duno if that's what i wanted, don't think i explained well enough on one of your sites, you rollover one of the 4 circles, and the text to what that button does fades in, then when you move the mouse away it fades out. I know how to do that fading in part, but how would you go about doing the fading out? What do you do to make an animation happen when you take the mouse off of a button? |

aww right. like an animated roll off. u need to make a movie clip button. its quite long to explain but i can send u a fla of a button that works, and i can add descriptions so u can understand what it does. b4 i do, u use Flash 5, MX or MX PRO 2004? problem with these style buttons though,is the code can be weird on the buttons. but ill send it thru anywyas, and u mmay know urself how the code may work. if not give me a buzz. |

what i wud suggest to do is to take it into flash first and trace over it and delete the sketch layer. this means u will have a nice clean crips line to colour within. save it as a .png and take into photoshop and then its will be easier to colour. make a layer behind it and colour behind the lines.

when u have ur clean line drawing done in flash, delete the image u imported in. then go to file >export image, and choose PNG, if that doesnt work export it as a JPEG and it shud work fine.
btw a large image looks better when coloured rather than a small one, so scale ur flash line art up before u export it. u may want to increase the line thickness too, cuz when u take it into Photoshop the line will be very thin. line thickness of 2 and up on a large flash image shud be fine. when u export it choose Minimum Image Area as well, so anything outside the workspace will export as well. (u probabaly know all that but just in case) |

Uhm...
|
I did a little animation test today... It's for a challenge on the www.animationcorner.com forum... The first link looks good on my computer with dial up, in IE. The second on looks good in flash, but lags in IE, so i don't know... http://img271.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fastsneeze5lh.swf http://img288.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sneeze3fw.swf Crit if you want... i'm still pretty new to animating, so it's nothing amazing, but it was fun to make. Oh, it's a guy sneezing, if you couldn't tell... |
