also the only suggestion i would make for Esn's works are for the last 2, instead of a scribbly line for reflecting light on the street, id use a bunch of just parallel lines (i guess is the best way to describe em) but i already really like the whole thing the way it is.

Hey Daninator... it's fine overall, the main crit being that there aren't really any shadows on the face. You can read Adam Phillips' recent tutorial on the woodenblog if you want to add them. I can't really help you technically, since I don't use Photoshop or know how to use it.

Here's a new one from me:

I have almost a metre of snow on my balcony, so I have plentry of inspiration for snow scenes. ;)

Thanks for the comments about the other ones, guys. I'll keep them in mind.

I was quite confused by the complicated lighting and shapes of this one. I guess it turned out serviceable. :sage:

this is a random flash short im working on. im still just practicing with different things. this one was facial expressions and the scene i havent put in here yet.

http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=h4x0roc6.swf

I was looking for some help (maybe some sketched examples if you could be so kind) of how i should have a guys hand look if hes holding a brick. im sure it doesnt make much sense to anyone at this point in the flash. but its going to be thrown and i cant seem to get a hand holding a brick to look right.

Great design Dash. I like the concept. There are a few mistakes in the guitar which I thought I'd point out before you ink it but overall I like it.

My quick sketchover isn't perfect but the basic concept of the proportions is there.
The neck tends to be longer but finishes higher up on the actual body of the guitar. The shape of the guitar was also designed to be very curved and womanly so you need to show the flow. The top half of the body also is equally wide to the lower half. The common design now is the upper sticky out bits to be different heights but that's not necessary and the neck tends to get thinner at the top.
If the linework goes well this design might also make a good tatoo, you could try selling it locally.

but still that's a kick ass guitar.! \m/ (X_X) \m/

I'd love to see it after all the little things pointed out by Pillow have been fixed.

Anyways... staying on topic somewhat...

I'm currently working on a hand drawn animation about these two dudes fighting over a penny... I know it sounds kinda pointless but this is my very first animated fight scene only using index cards, pencils, erasers, light box, camcorder and laptop. Heck here's some screen shots if any one actually cares.

Posted Image

Not much of a screenshot but I just started to animate the fight scene and I know whats gonna happen in all of them so yeah.

Its gonna take a while to finish though considering what I want to do for all the cool fight scene stuffs...

...Oh. I saw this after i inked and now i have start to color.
The design may be so I have to think so I may don't redone it so much, but the neck should be longer and thinner what I see now. I'll look after your overall when i draw the guitar again. Thank you for the crits.

if you answer my riddle the esophagus will let you pass
really nice animations you have there, i like the dusk but i think the shadow of the clouds should not be still on the water, as the sun rises, the light falls from a different angle, so it needs to move

thanks for your input and advice;
do you mean the shadow should fade as the light intensity increases?
In which way should the shadow move?

very very nice work Esn although the last one is a tad confusing. Maybe it needs more contrast or something, I can't really tell what's going on....
Do you know yet when it will be released?

well just imagine the sun as light source and the clouds are the cause for the shadow...so when the light source moves the shadow moves too, maybe a little scetch will make it clearer
its a bit messy but i hope youll get the idea, just be shure how the light is falling into the camera or the eye
