That's uber cool! What does it 'represent'? :P

haha... I dont really like to make art to represent anything. Some people in the class talked about the meaning of their stuff, but a lot of the time that just sounds silly to me. I just like to make it cool to look at.

Got a question about the forum? PM me! :)
Just say it represents society' descension to chaos and the struggle to retain order ;) That's what I see  I really really like it though, what do you plan on doing with it?

Ooh, good one. Maybe something about unravelling... I like the thing about order in the chaos. I did put a lot of thought into the chaotic lines, just cause i'm not used to drawing so big.
Not sure what i'll do with it... The teacher wants to have our stuff in one of the school galleries next semester, cause the galleries are all booked for the rest of this semester. Think i'll probably hang it in my room. Would probably be good to hang it somewhere that i would never accidentally bump into it. (cause of all the charcoal)

Know what you mean, I had a huge picture that was framed and my parents unpractically hung it in my room on a part of a wall which was right in the patrh of my door. I open the door when I get home that day CRACK! glass everywhere.

of course, this is the one coming from yemble's tutorial, but i'm still proud of it, even though it looks like a coffee thermos.

Haha. Yeah. The microphone is actually hidden in the webcam, which is why it's so soft. Sorry about that. :P

Great work Mathulus. It's really looking great. Is my tut the only one you've watched/read? In the next one I'll get into rendering and lighting a little bit as well as delving a little deeper into the Material Manager (my god that thing could have a whole series of tuts on its own).

Keep at it man, you're doing really well. :D

My teacher told me today that all my characters look the same ("like Marvel superheroes"), and that I'll die cold and alone doing Batman mock-ups in a Manhattan back alley. Well, damn her for being honest.

Well keep doing what you're doing because I marvel (no pun intended) the renderings you and bleeg create......I can't light a character properly to save my life......I seem to be stuck in toonsville all the time.....

It's all photoshop. I sketched on paper first, then scanned and painted it with the solid circle brush tool, mostly. Used a softer circle brush at a low flow for the shadows and highlights.

I did the big-hand guy the same way, except I used a copied shape creatively for the pattern on his mask.

I'll keep your comment on the tail in mind, Juggs. The knees were inspired by the disney Hercules designs. I forget his name, but the same guy did the design and key frames in Pink Floyd's "The Wall."

Those are incredible, Angh! Honestly, your lines are always crisp and smooth, your colors perfectly blended, and your style impeccable. Ugh, I hate you! ;)

I'll have to remember the scanning option. My school's digital art lab has a scanner, so maybe I'll be able to colorify some of my better cartoon ideas.

Wow Ang, I'd love to see you animate that second pic of yours walking. :D

A couple of Yem's tutorials are sitting on my hard drive waiting to be watched... of course I have to download a trial of whatever program you're using before watching them would do me any good. :P

Here's an update on my game:

Kimblis the Blue

All of the levels work (more or less), just a few of the sound effects are missing. Once I get the rest of the sound effects in there, fix some glitches, and make two more cut scenes it'll be finished. :bing: Then I'll start beta testing and whoring for attention trying to get everyone I can to test it and give me their input. ;)
