Try to make the first lone a bit smoother and faster, and for the mountains, animate their "Creation" separately, don't create the second one starting from the "intersecting" line. |

Cheers. I'll take it into consideration. The timing off the piece isn't fully realised yet because I am still debating which song to use or whether I'll need to compose my own song so I can enter it into festivals. |

Love the angle and the style of the picture elephant. The composition could maby be even better if you moved the girl more slightly to the right, and decreased the size a bit of the on her right side. Maby something like this Schizo: ![]() ![]() Some animation doodlings in flash: |

How do you draw that well Comlock?! Wish i could draw half as good as that. Have you ever had lessons or anything like that? And one question are you left or right handed? Weird question i know, but i'm not exactly ordinary! |

No, I havent had any drawing lessons before. And Ive been practicing drawing humanfaces using constroctionlines like this![]() Using the "divide into 2" to make characters more apealing. It's highly recomended to start with something like that before doing any more details when drawing faces. And I am lefthanded. Wich is great, since I can have my wacom in the left, and mouse in the right=) EDIT: answer to post below: I have Wacom Intuos3 9x12 (A4) I used to have a Wacom Volito 4x5, and it took me about 2 weeks to get used to. And switching to the intous took me about 10 mins. |

Ok cool, well the reason being is that left handed people are known to be better at drawing than us righties! Can i ask what Wacom you have, and how long did it take you to get used to drawing on it? |

I have some of it working now... Use the arrow keys. There's a lor wrong with it... I don't have a jump animation and I don't know how to add more control to the jump so that I can maybe have the power of the jump depend on how long you hold the key down. I also need to to work on the objects that block your path... right now it stops your character from doing anything but jumping. And the character doesn't have to jump up large ledges... he steps right up them! Then there's the problem with pressing more than one key. I want to have a crouch/walk when you press down and left/right but i cant get it to work. I need to fix so many things. So please please please help me out! If you want to reply with comments, I'd appreciate it but if you want to reply with actionscript help, do it here: http://s7.invisionfree.com/Brackenwood/ind...?showtopic=7746 |

GASP!!! Comlock, on the guys facem you hace a portruding jaw element on his right, like most sechsay males do at that angle, but you don't copy it over to the left side, making it look like his jaw is slightly slanted to the opposing angle as his head... I'm just on you case, it looks great, that's just something that stuck out to me. |

Here's a quick walk cycle I made today, sketched it yesterday and colored and fixed up a bit throughout the day inbetween my classes. I would like to work on a bit more, its no where near complete. |

Hey Sweaterjon, I like the character! Is his gut gonna bounce as much as his nose? Take a look at the motion track of his heel: On f11 the heel goes backwards, against the direction of action. Try to find a position for that pose where the heel is somewhere along the dotted line and that will keep the feet cycling nicely. As for his arms, the nice floppy swing is good, but exaggerate it more for the extremes of the swing (swing it further fwd and back) and keep the bend in true to the motion. The heavy hand is slightly behind the arm in the swing. Keep that in mind and it should tell you which way to bend the arm for each pose. kib |

Elephant, I just wanted to say how much I love your character and the loose, sketchy look to the whole pic. Black on white vector drawings can look a lot like old Japanese woodcuts and I have been experimenting with this satisfying look for a while now. I'll post one recent one here later. Let's see some more of this stuff, elephant! kib *edit Now it's later. A poster for a music fest in the North West Territories (their concept, my art):

Thanks a lot kib on the feedback, I wasn't completley happy with the legs, but thanks for the specific words on that one frame. Another change I want to add in is get his weight balanced out, the more I look at it, the more it looks like my character should be tipping over. And yeah I would also like to make his big stomach bounce and clean everything up. And looking forward to making some other little animations to be able to show on here. |

A little while ago I posted some very poor quality photos of a couple of polymer clay models I had made. Well I have a new phone (with a nice new 2 megapixel camera with macro and auto focus) so here are the pics again. This time you can actually see what they are. Crits and Comments please. ![]() ![]()

Self portraits? They are awesome Yems, I'd try to crit it, but I'm horrible at modeling. The last one's eyebrow looks like it needs to applied better, smoothed out. Other than that, they look pretty damn good! |
