Munch, that was pretty funny for a short. Cwork, did you leave certain things like the ball and legs behind for a reason? Maybe you left em there as a reference while you work? Either way nice job I like the animation. Here's a screenshot from the game I'm working on. ![]() That level is just part of the demo as I test controls and whatnot. The final levels will have better detail. Castles, swords, evil zombie knights... yeah. Don't worry, you'll understand it when you play it. I hope

![]() Posted this in Ang's creature workshop, but the thread seems to have frozen. Crits would be loverly --- Scientists call him Jellyfishus Eatamus, but I call him Herbert. Features: -His eyes can retract into his mouth, with bioluminescent eyelids to see in the dark. -He skewers animals with his "tail," and then ejects spikes into its body to hold it in place on the tail, or Herb will squeeze the animal to use its defense system as his own protection, or even pretend to use that animal as a decoy, while he hides in shadows (I have pictures of these mechanisms, but didn't get a chance to take a picture of them yet). -Herb stores live jellyfish in his mouth to shock difficult-to-eat creatures to death. Jellyfish are lured in his mouth by small organisms that grow on the inside of his mouth that jellyfish like to eat. Herb enjoys the company of jellyfish in his mouth, but occasionally he will eat a few when he gets hungry and there are no other food sources nearby. More pics of Herb later. |

The anticipation is in the squash, when the ball rears back to launch itself into the wall, but thanks for the kind wordz

You were nearly killed by a squirrel? Rade, I thought you were tougher than that.
It looks good so far, Rade. Nice, squirrelly movement. Are you using source material? There are some size continuity problems in that it seems to shrink a bit with each successive key pose. Perhaps you can figure out a way of scaling them up one at a time so you don't have to re-do them? Good for you for sticking with the structures. You show real progress, Rade. Good job! kib PS: note text in my sig |

You were nearly killed by a squirrel? Rade, I thought you were tougher than that.
Its a long story, I was just playing a bush tree/ shrub wat ever it was and must have some how pluck a squirrel. Thus it feel landed on me and blah blah I got preown by fuzzy rat. It looks good so far, Rade. Nice, squirrelly movement. Are you using source material? Source material? wats that? Well I have been going outside and wacthing those fuzz balls for some time. Im thinking of wacthing them up close and take my chance's. As i try to study there every move. Do you see Wat risk I put my self in! The danger im willing to take , so that I perfect my work! That takes heart man. There are some size continuity problems in that it seems to shrink a bit with each successive key pose. Perhaps you can figure out a way of scaling them up one at a time so you don't have to re-do them? Yea I kinda see what you mean. Its a real time consuming but i trying to keep at all at one size. Not sure What else can make the progress go faster. Maybe some Animation Lube Good for you for sticking with the structures. You show real progress, Rade. Good job! Thanks Kib, Ill like how you give me those pats on the head typ of replys. Makes me feel im cool to chill with the big boys or something like that. kib PS: note text in my sig Well thats a sign for sure? Look like some one is Mr. Popular |

I noticed that Cwork, anyways, try to add a bit more anticipation, you can skew it a bit and it'll look better. I recommend you to make a frame for each leg and arm, another for the head, one for the body, and a last one for the tail. Study the movement of a real squirrel, they move really fast, look at the sides (they look as if they were nervous at all times). You could also see that the tail is like a "secondary action", it moves with the whole body (basically the same way as the spine does) but more fluid and free. |

When I see the squirrels. There awlays waging their fuzzy tails around back and fourth while there making fast past crawling up trees. Also, I ntoice squirrels dont walk but hop to one place to another. There movement is really hard to recreated. There fast as hell, maybe If I start feeding them. Have you ever saw a black squirel before? I have and those things dont mess around if your a stranger. |

I'm making a game. I think the links are self-explanatory. If anyone can help me on the game aspect, I'd really appreciate it, but if not, I'd like critiques on the art itself. I'm trying to mimic its style as well as possible, if that helps. Move with the arrows Not a battle yet, but an example of what's to come Basic menu screen |

wierd andros! that game is nostalgia central! It reminds me of mario, in fact thats what i thought it was till he was in the solid snake uniform, but instead of a side scroller its a isometric, like those old ninja turtle games. What the game about and what do/can you do? |

It's Paper Gear Solid (tentatively titled)! Bounce, smash, and adventure through four levels of mayhem in a mysterious facility located in the dense Amazon rainforest! Bring along allies, new and old! In other words, I'm putting Metal Gear to the tune of Paper Mario. Timed-action-RPG battles, the whole shebang. You like? |
