I'dd say he needs to bend a more, anticipation should be a little longer also.
You cannot sense the weight of the rock well enough - it's allready there tough, he just doesn't need allot of effort right now.

Here's my work so far on project one, The Talented Ball.

No textures or lights, yet.

Awesome Yems!

Mind explaining how you did the curtain draw animation?

Sure. :)

The course starts off really simple then quickly ramps the speed up as you go along so that before you know it you're dealing with the Flex modifier and Deflectors (among a load of other stuff).

That's basically how it was done. The curtains had a scale animation applied to them and then I gave a Flex modifier to the bottom row of vertices, using a relatively high value of soft selection so the flex modifier's area of effect got weaker as it went up the curtain. The computer then does all the leg work, I just modified a few of the settings so that it looked right.

I then placed a deflector between the two curtains so that when they come together they appear to hit each other.

The animation was controlled using the Reaction manager (my new best friend) and, if neccessary, the curve sheet.

Yesterday I didn't even know most of the stuff I just talked about existed. This course has taught me so damn much already. :)
