Pretty good, but you could do better. Jiggle his belly up and down with the steps; The ASK explains it on pages 114 and 156. Maybe make his step "bounce" a little more too? He just seems to be kinda strolling ago there... (Although there's some crazy-ass stuff going on with his head and shoulders ).Edit: And experiment with slowing it down. It's fine that way it is, but if you add the bound and stuff I have a feeling it'll look better slowed down. |

Yeah, I was thinking of adding more bounce on the body, and make more inbetweens to Ease in and out the motion. But it was a 3/4 view walk, and it was realy confusing ^^ Yeah, that head and shoulder motion is realy messed up=) that's why I didnt trace it with the black pencil
So I decided to do a profile walk instead, and use that "ease in and out" effect on page 142 where you have 2 inbetween drawings with the timechart going like this after each "keyframe". ![]() (Check out that little "worm animation" on top of the page, right above his head =) (looks almost like a little insect )(The ankle motion when he lifts up his feets could have use more curves I think) ![]() As you can see, im starting to take this traditional animation thing way to seriously  (the linetest is done by an old vcr camera, that is plugged into the computer) |

I wuv the worm animation. Not only do the curves need some work, but your feet accelerate really unevenly. My advice: Put a piece of animation paper on the pegs over each drawing and put a dot to mark the position of some identifying part of the body -- the point of the back of the heel, toes, knee, whatever. Once you've done that, connect the dots to see if your arc is working. The spacing of the dots will tell you how the parts are accelerating. |

Freakin' a. Can you get that book off of say, Amazon? EDIT: Wow, ok... is ASK like an acronym or abbreviation for a bigger word? There's no way I could find a book called ASK about animation out of 50000 results on amazon. |

Todays work on it![]() 4 days left to finish it. - The rock doesn’t have any shading or anything yet, just the base color. - The mountains are gone for right now as well, I want to redo them. - Crits More then welcome, rember, the better it looks the more (hopefully) it will sell for at the charity auction. ![]() Some things don't really fit too well with the lines of action, so I drew those in and how things would fit better. So, how is the Cintiq working out for you, compared to the tablet? |

I hope you'll understand everything I redrawed there Thantos. Ok so lets start. First he doesn't have a jaws and a neck connection witk his head. All of his face is a one big circle. And his head is raised so also his nose should be seen little raised. I think you should see ( don't know that word in eng.
) his "nose holes"
. Also his shoe looks a little unnatural. It should more lay down on the foot. And one more thing. His right arms clothes has a bad perspective. Try to watch some pipes and see "when the circle changes direction, and it's pespective direction changes". And by the way my advices is not a holy true. Maybe it's your style. For example the big shoe could be your style and my advice isin't needed. Just as I said in the beginning I hope you'll understand everything.

Try to vary the hairlooks more. have some seperated as thick, and others as thin. And if you want, you can add eyebrows and define the eyesockets a bit more. It might look better then. ![]() And a quick little constructionguide how I create those cartoon kid looking faces Like the nose. I use an oval shape pointed up for the construction part. But you can just use your own style when cleaning up the whole face ofcourse

you've definately gotten better Rade. may i make two suggestions?![]() the two red arrows: that one ninja's leg has an extra knee in his thigh. most people don't bend that way. the other guy looks like his neck is coming out of his chest. but you're definately coming along. |
