Did a real quick value shade on th' outline. I feel like it needs fixing, but if I knew what to fix, I prolly would have done it already, so criticize! get real picky, I think it's garbage, too (as picky as you can on a general shading)

Hey Bardaux, try using a relatively small brush and paint some white over the part of the outline that is lit. Also I think the piece is to dark, even for a night scene. You can try lowering the contrast, get some more radiosity going on. And I think foreground and background should be build more seperate I think it would be kinda cool if you added fire beacons. Also is this thing floating in the sky? Might add some clouds, if it isn't try to place a horizon. Feel free to study from photographs or other painters work. *edit* Okay I've done some quick fixes.

Have I been photoshop painting again? Oh golly, yes I have. Wasp. If you recognise it from somewhere else, don't cry. I'm copying it from a tutorial to improve on my digital shading. I'm getting a slight feeling of 'will I still be able to ride the bike once the stabilisers come off', like I usually get with tutorials. I guess we'll see.

It might just be me but his wing looks kinda thin. But if it's from a tutorial you've probably got it down right. And if you stay on the bike too long know that we'll be here to knock the training wheels off with a large club and get you going

looking good yem. definately improving. ive seen that tut b4, and ur version is coming on well. if u want to smooth the brush strokes a little, maybe use the smudge tool (shortcut key R) and vary the opacity of it to achieve the smooth blending effect u design. u using a tablet yembles? or a mouse? if ur using a mouse, bloody hell, good going! |

I use a tablet. An Aiptek 12x9. Not a Wacom (blasphemy!). It was 60 quid, rather than 300, and was all I could afford. It's a wee bit unwieldy though. I think I'd prefer a medium sized tablet. Oh, and thanks.

It's a little spastic and fast. Add some frames to slow it down or alter the frame rate. He's also picking up his knees too high for a basic walk. I like how you got the whole body in motion instead of just moving the legs, and I commend you for picking a slightly unusual angle. |

I am working on a website design
Please click this little fello and then tell me what you think. The design is for a web-magazine a.k.a e-zine that me and two friends are going to have as our school project. I'm really excited about this because it gives me a chance of doing what I prefer, web designing.... on school hours! For you that are wondering, the text is in Swedish (for those that doesn't know where I am from) and it's just a pathetic looping dummy text about melons and chrystals and their magical ability to make you able to travel to different dimensions

Overall its a nice cycle. But i agree with Ang, it is definatly a bit too fast. Try adding a frame here or there then some inbetweens to smooth it all out. Otherwise it looks great, the followthrough and the foot pressure you have is great.

ok, so this isnt something that im working on, jsut a small test that i done and felt like hsaring with you all http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=f...ypething5tb.swf if you want an explanation of how i done it, look below, if not, dont bother... well, i started with ne blue dot, and i made 29 keyframes wiht the same dot, then i went to the first frame and softened the fill edges to 40 pixels wide and 30 steps, then on the next frame i softened exaclty the same but changed the number of steps down by 1, i done this until i had it gone down to 2 steps, the cpoied the frames and reversed the copied version (makes it loop) |
