Here is a new pic I'm working on. This is by far the best female drawing I ever did. ^_^

And yes.. The gun is traced. :P

Just a note... The pic is HUGE! Like, 1100x2290 huge. I'm planning to color it later on.

Comments? Crits?

EDIT: fixed link

Cel, it looks very good. Just the direction of the hips and shoulders are bothering me. I'd have a hard time recreating such pose IRL :P Then her left leg looks longer than her right, considering the angle and positioning of the boots. The drapery in her crotch looks funny... Other than being nitpicky, the pic is really cool. Good job.

Well, actually, its kinda like a 3/4 (or 1/4 :P) view. so the left leg is somewhat behind the right leg.

As for the pose. I actually tried. And it works.

About the crotch.. The pants is kinda baggy, you know, military style. I wasnt too sure how to make it on a female. :P Any tips on how to fix it?

Haha okay. It just seemed like the tits were pointing to her right and her hips to her left, thought it would be an awkward position :P You could try to make the crotch drapery simpler. Fewer lines etc. But the legs make sense now.

I noticed that her right-hand wrist bends quite alot =o It can bend almost that much to the other direction but my wrist hardly bends that way.. I guess it isn't such a big deal, not everthing needs to be realistic, just conventional.

hey cel thats pretty impressive! one thing i noticed though, i think her legs are backwards, she is leaning to the left (my left, not hers) so the weight should be placed on that side, the way you have the legs set up, it looks like your placing all of her weight on the right side (my right) hope i was helpful.

Wow, thanks for the comments everyone!

I fixed the crotch (I think), and I moved the belt a little cause it was kinda killing the angle.

Mine bends like that without any problems.

Actually, she is leaning on her right leg. The 90 degree one. Her left leg is only to support her so she doesnt fall over. One thing I'm sure of is that the legs arent backwards. Maybe a little miss placed. I tried standing both ways, and I found that like it is now is the better of the two. I've moved the legs a little to the left and skewed them towards the torso. I think Its better now.

Espen, I actually did the arm like you before. It was just too long IMO. If you'd strech it out it would go all the way to the knee. The arm is bending backwards, not to the side. Also, her hips are more like :4: then :5: . I think it will be alot clearer when theres some shading.

Cool animation, well done. The right hand (left for her) looks a little small when she moves it back.

Hehe, I noticed mine bends that way too but the fingers can't point the same direction as in the hand of hers :P The wrist can't bend like that without rotating clockwise.. (I'm making such a fuss over a small thing..). So if you'd correct that in the drawing, you'd need to see some extra effort re-tracing the gun tilted. I hope you understand what I mean. I'd draw it to you if I could.. :P I guess just forget what I "complained" , sorry :) It's a great looking drawing.

Her neck is way too thin, and maybe make her head a bit bigger (just a little).

That is because the arm is going backwards behind her chest, therefore the display of it getting smaller is Highly well done and Accurate!

Awesome Job Kaller!

That is indeed awesome shading!!
Same goes for you traditional crosshatching ones...
So delicious shading... *drool*

I started on a traditional animation exercise again after a long break.
I just had to do it after seeing Nubians new lighboard, and behind the scenes of "Lilo and Stitch" today ^^

Hey rubber, have you taken like a bunch of art or composition classes or anything? You're freaking awesome at shading and your style is shweet in general. I've tried to do some wierd abstract stuff like that in photoshop and it looks like poop.

And I've been trying to find a good class to take but I don't know what to do.
