nice pic espon :) try to make her face more "triangulary" look, like in anime's..
Yembles really good work! have u heard about Zbrush? it's a 3d program that combine 2d and 3d together, making the modeling easier and greater results.. any way, that program is really awesome i was amazed when i first try it, it really good for character modeling so i really recomand it :bing:
here is the home website of it, just take a look of the details level u can reach with it! i have the version 2 and i amazed everytime i open it , try the demo u won't regret :D

Trying to make anime pictures, What do you guys think about it?

Just fix the sloppy lines, lines shouldn't show trough in a painting like this. Try to get smooth edges, feel free to zoom and use a smaller brush to define your edges more.
And keep foreground and background seperate with stuff like this. It gives more control over the object.

Any thoughts on propotion and pespective on the arms/hands, on the clothing wrinkles and/or other stuff?

I just realized that the head is a bit big... but I think I'll leave it that way

Please feel free to edit this piture if I need to fix anything. Note: the pegs holding the 4 cables as well as the 4 cylinders that go in the ground are sposed to be metal... I was trying to make them reflective.

If it is easier to edit, here is the shadow layer.

hey, mathulus, i just think that the creases on his sleeves dont look quite right, try to vary their shape a little ;)
espen i like the artwork, but the shading needs a little blurring, maybe even a longer skirt lol :)

Did some quickie XHSF posters for SIGGRAPH today. I decided on posters because my father-in-law can print them for free (18"x12") and I barely have enough cash for the convention itself. Anyway, I've done a series of 4, for each of the main characters:

Those are really brilliant Humble!

How did you do them, what programme ect.?

I would guess on flash for the outlines and basic colors and then
[insert random good drawing tablet-compatible drawing programme here] for the shades/highligts.

Anyway, well done.

Bardaux, that island looks really cool. What is it going to be for?

I just thought that out there, somewhere in Star Wars, there should be a Dug who was also a Jedi.

(If you don't know what a Dug is, Sebulba is an example)

I'm trying to. First I have to have my demo reel in order, then I'll do the site.

But, that's on top of my school stuff, so who knows?

the gallery is frigging awesome, and the forum has 10s of thousands!! of members, i prefer a smaller community, its easy to get forgotten about in that place, but the art is fantastic.

Im currently developing a portfolio of flash websites at moment, so that i can approach companies here in Belfast that have crap sites, and hopefully get paid to make them one.

im developing 3 styles of sites at moment. smooth working Professional looking ones, Creative ones, and simplistic ones. all with easy interactivity.

like the quote said im developing sites.

i made this in a few hours but problems with movie clips and a lil code it took days to finish. everything was done, all i needed was to link it all up using code and PHAT PROPS!!!!!! to MR JIGGIMAN!!! he helped me complete this.

THANKS MILLIONS DUDE!! WORKS WELL NOW.

NEW SITE, basic but nice

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

update of first one posted. i sorted out the doodle page. thanks to CLAYT! cheers man. need to finish the rest of the site though
HANDY SITE

its bare bones at the moment, and no buttons work apart from the "art" button, which links to a crappy "demo" page.
CLICK THE LITTLE INK PATCH ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT.
