Great seeing a new style from you=) Not much to crit realy but the face looks quite more realistic compared to the rest, so maybe it could have been a bit simplified even more, or made more clearer\exaggurated. That's why im a bit unshure of the eyes, becasue she doesent seem to have proper eyesockets. Especially her right wich seems very flat. Overall it's a nice looking piece ![]() Eye, seems that you've been getting alot of good help from AK allready=) But I also think it's important that his front leg angle is almost aligned with the spear so you will get a stronger and more powerfull pose. There's alot of "lines" running from the top of the spear and down to the tip (blue lines) , so I think its important that you get them as clear as possible in your drawing. ![]() You could try starting the drawing by just making simple gesturelines before you add any construction or details . That way you can draw it over and over again, til you get happy with the pose. It can take time to get used to it, but it realy helps |

I'm currently trying to improve painting in photoshop too so I'll give you the advice I've found but it's not great advice a I'm teaching myself and basically I'm still learning You want stronger colours. The anatomy looks good but there's not much shadow making it seem a little flat Here I've focused on the breast and added stronger shadows and a bit more pink to show you what I mean. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/Pil...eadmo5_edit.jpg |

G'day Y'all! I have a mate at skool who is the leader of a group called the IRS - International Relation Society. It brings international and local students together. Hence the name. Anyway, he knows that I'm interested in animation and that I look to do as many animation projects as possible, to develop my skills. And he needs help advertising the group, so he decided to make me an official member of the IRS, I am the 'Multimedia Officer'. Haha, it's a joke sorta thing, but hey, I get to animate for a good cause, so I'm in. I made this completely from scratch, no help or anything, it's taken me awhile, but most of that time was used planning.. and messing around So without further guilding the lilly and with no more adue, I bring you.. IRS - advert Whatcha peoples reckon? Cheers byby |

Good Yex! you have a great start on ya, you just need some tips with head proportioning. One thing you should know about is the law of halfs. ![]() Here we see simple things like, the head is split horizontally by the eyeline, vertically by the nose, the bottom of the nose halfway between the eyeline and chin, and the lips in the between the bottom of the nose and chin. and they eyes horizontally spaced between the side of the head and the verticle nose line, or on he outside of the lip. These of course are very general, different people have different proportions, but to get an idea of where you should place things, this is very usefull. Link to full tut here |

Hey Yuyulsd, got around to your cats.
![]() The adult cat looks pretty good. The kitten needs to be significantly beefed up (babies of nearly all animals are sort of stubby and fat), and you also had some anatomy goofs with the legs. Pay attention to where the hip, knee, ankle and foot are. Cats also have pretty large shoulders, so don't be afraid to draw them in and then erase out. Another semi-truism about cats is that they often have curved backs. A straight back helps give the cat weight, but it also makes the figure less fluid. I'm a little more concerned about your composition. The two cats don't really seem to be paying attention to each other, especially the adult to the baby. I tried to change that in the second version and the third is a suggestion to improve the silhouette value. When you're drawing more than one character, think of them as a single unit. I drew ovals and circles through the two characters to help figure out how to situate their bodies. (For sitting cats, it helps me to think of kittens as eggs with legs and adult cats as wine bottles). And to round it off, here's some kitten reference and a cat skeleton for you. ![]()

No one commented on the IRS advert animation! About that: Nice work w00t. You send a good message there Anyways, Heres the deal, my friends and i get together to play DnD once in a while, gonna suprise my friend with a drawing of his favorite character: Drake Jr. ![]() Hes mysterious, cocky, and can beat the hell out of anyone as long as he has his scrims. So i tryed to convey it here, the hair is shit, some stuff needs reworking, otherwise, ill get to inking. |

Thanks for the compliment -AnTiSeAl-! Anything you think I should change? Your drawing looks great! Is the guy wearing a shirt? koz it looks like he isnt because there's no creases in the cloth, but then it looks like he is because there's no hints of skeletal structure (like ribs) or muscular structure (like abs) present in the skin. His blades look great, if your going for a more professional look for him, try making his blades have the same decorations. Just some thoughts Looks great none-the-less and I can't wait to see it after the inking. byby |

Looks like a pretty kickass character, antiseal! I would like to see his eyes... but the pose is cool as it is. Is he a little Drizzt Do'Urden inspired? How many people on here also roleplay in various forms? I play DnD (first and 3.5 editions), Shadowrun, StarWars, Marvel, MERP... The gnoll I posted in the Daily Sketch thread today is a first-edition DnD character of mine, Relis-Gaul.
