Thanatos: =D Nice drawing, but you could have pushed his upper lip alot more.
It's realy a big noticable part in the ref and it plays a big part of his facial expression, yet you almost completly avoided drawing any upper lip at all =)

Anghenfil: Looking great=D I like Whim's idea by brining contrast\saturation a bit more up.
I was thinking it might be cool with some hidden mathematical design where the overall shape of the eye could be equal to that that triangle shape, only faced upside down. (that way the eye and triangle could make a starshape together)
I tried some suggestions but it didn't really work^^ It looks fine how it is right now^^

we'll the animation itself isn't bad
BUT for now its just most of the times lines, prety basic
try adding story or so (and yes you can even add a story if your just working with lines)

and eum try working with your music. so not just pasting a song on it.

if you do those 2 things (story and pasting muzic) then you'll alredy have a mutch better animation with still only those lines

ow and one tip: post here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Brackenwood/ind...ic=8809&st=1113 thats the section for animations and there you'll ged more help

Okay so I promise after this, no more cats. But I was watching "A Clockwork Orange" the otherday and kinda made a connection between the two.

(This isn't Lucky btw, I plan on making this one white.)

Thanks. It's still in progress. Gotta finish up the feet and then add distress marks and decals. I'll post when I'm done.

Done for now.

Great work, shark. Good use of perspective and specular shading.

I'd work on putting a decent texture on such a nice robot. The difference clouds just aren't doing it for me. Look at picture of industrial machinery and think about places where it would rust and stain. Peeling paint. Bullet holes. If you want to go for the "dirty camofage" look, they often paint the different colors in patches rather than a uniform grunge. Just stuff to think about, I really enjoy the machine.

(Also think about rivets and joints, it's still looking kind of naked).

Ang,

Damn your good!  You've got eyes like a peregrine falcon.

After I finished it and looked at it for a while I realized those difference clouds were a bit bloomy and you can follow their contours straight across the differing surfaces. The plan was to make them much smaller erase some. This was my very first color test so not much critiquing went into this beyond first shot coolness. Good call.

Wow you did that from my tut :o!

I'm glad it helped :).

I agree with anghenfil, the difference clouds aren't that good, try and learn how to detail surfaces by hand :), textured brushes are great for that.

Here's a walk cycle I just started, needs to be smoothed out however:

And here's an ad that I just completed for a contest over at Asus computers: Posted Image

But Brackenwood guys, I could use your help. The contest is a big fluke because the finalists in each category are being selected by popular vote, and there's A LOT of people either voting for themselves somehow or have a huge network of friends-- it's plain to see since the top two have over 50 votes within the first day of voting, and most everyone else has one or zilch.

If you want to lend a hand and give this contest some legitimacy go here and vote-- http://usa.asus.com/tko2/ everyone who votes is eligible for a few prizes too.
