Hello. I'm a so called language freak. I haven't learned so much languges yet so
yesterday (5 July 2005) i decided to start learning Sarus. Well i get the basic rules pretty well. The problem is that i don't know how to learn it fluently. Does anybody have a tip or so? Maybe a "sarus for dummies"? And isn't less difficult to learn a language if you are young? :huh:
Note: If you are one of the friendly souls that want's to help this 13-year-old-dummie please be kind and DON'T use advanced english. It's not my native language.

Thanks

Okey.... so hm... <_< I forgot what I was going to ask!!! :gasp: ´

Well i'll ask another cuestion:
I didn't get this with the 4 syllabel words.. they are plurals rigth? then i get confused with the adding of the letter...

And what's it called... setaglyphs (i've got very bad memory) those figures you explanied what's their use? i tought you were going to writte d r m f s l t, is it to spice it up?

... what did you do to learn the language in first place? I mean did you spend like 1 hour every day on it or?

and these thingies confuses me... :1: :2: :3: :4: :5: :6: :7: what are they?

:blink:

Thanks

I remenber my question: How are you supposed to speak that fast and sounding like uh in the syllabels?

Those are actually easy Vicereine.
You just need to remember that any set of seven "graphic symbols", "sounds", "colors", or anything else can be related to the d r m f s l t.

:1: Do
:2: Re
:3: Me
:4: Fa
:5: So
:6: La
:7: Ti

Understand? ;)

So that's another way of writing in Sarus? Well that's nice... now how many ways to learn how you can write is it now? let's se: colors, notes, letters, symbols, septaglyphs, numbers and I think those were all... How am I going to learn all ways? :worry:

Edit: That banner (or what it is) with the "word of the day" is it possibel to get (downloading it or something) one? Tought it could help a bit...
And maybe not so surprising but ive learned the 1 syllabel words and starting with do in the 2 syllabels (50% to 60% sure on the 2 syllabels at least)

Thats the real beauty of Sarus there Vic.... no matter what, any set of seven distinct "things" can be used as the basis of writing the language! ;)

Just stick with D R M F S L T to learn the basics and concepts of the language. The colors, glyphs, etc. are just another way of expressing Sarus visually.

The Word of the Day is actually Adam's sig.....
And I second the motion for a public release Adam! ;)

<Edit>
I should also point out that the septaglyphs were developed by Adam specifically for use in his Brackenwood Projects. If you have an interest in finding "hidden messages" within Adam's movies I would suggest getting a good understanding on how to write Sarus in the septaglyph format.
There is a thread regarding it which Im sure you have seen already!

Mind ya, then there is always the Color Birds, and the Yu-Yu's eyes as well....... so knowing the colors would be handy!

And Adam is planning on a contest involving the musical notes themselves......

Feel like your in college again? I do! :bing:

Yeah I get your point... and i'm on summer vacation so i could take an hour training every day... maybe do homeworks for my self and... *thinks about how she's going to learn herself*

At least I don't have bear with my french teacher... ^^; she's not bad she just... let's say evil...

Well, we've goten a positive attitude *YAY* :D The language freak is very happy now...

Fact of Sweden: Here in sweden there got 9 years of basic school then there are three optional advanced school years and well my point being is that i'm going to start the sevent grade in one month so it can't feel like being in college again... if you meant college college..

Edit:
I play the guitar but i don't use the do re mi fa so la ti... i use: a, b (b can sometimes be "h"), c, d, e, f, g... will then do be "a", re be "b" and so on?

the scale starts at C, so:

C = do
D = re
E = mi
F = fa
G = so
A = la
B = ti

Glad you're intrigued by it! I'll be working on the 4 syllable dictionary later when I get some time, but right now, there are a few 4 syllable words that you don't actually have to learn, but you just learn the rule and apply it.
The first 4 syllables are plurals, and there are some others you'll find in this Sarus forum.. First things first though. Start at the 1 syllable words, then start on the 2's and after that, 3's. :)

oh by the way.. here's the link for the Word of the Day:
http://www.biteycastle.com/525/sig.swf

download that and you can use it anytime from your desktop :D
