Here's the topic I said I'd make earlier, my internet was down for 6 hours. So for those of you who don't know, I took Japanese 1 - 2 last year. I failed miserably (As in class grade: 40%. 70%'s a D-. ) but I do remember we had worksheets that helped us learn the language and Katakana/Hirigana characters. So I had an idea, why not make some worksheets that helped people really memorize the vocabulary and Glyphs? My idea for the sheets would work something like this: Sheet 1-1 would be an introduction to Sarus and would have the 1 syl. words. You'd work on them/they'd be organized like so: --- [Introduction to SRS] d means no r means and m means is and be f means at and to s means if l means the t means yes No: [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] [D] And: [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] [R] Is/Be: [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] [M] etc, etc. --- The next sheet would be something like 1-1a: 1 syllable Glyph's, Colour sequences, etc. (I put 1 and 2 and 3 to prevent smilie overload. No: [:1:] [:1:] [:1:] [:1:] [:1:] [1] [1] [1] [1] [1] etc (accidently deleted it, not retyping it again. :P) Then you'd move on to 2-1, which would be introduction to, say, 15 2 syllable words. Which would be the same as the 1-1, but, instead listing 15 (probably the most commonly used) two syl. words. I/Me: [DR][DR][DR][DR][DR][DR][DR][DR][DR][DR] You: [DM][DM][DM][DM][DM][DM][DM][DM][DM][DM] He/Him/It: [DF][DF][DF][DF][DF][DF][DF][DF][DF][DF] etc. We'd make 3.5 2 syllable sheets, then move onto 3 syllable... you get the idea. I was thinking Adam should make these, seeing as he's the offical language guide and leader, but if you're pressed for time, I'd be glad to make them, after I complete the current stuff I'm working on. Just a suggestion. |

Make em up Chungus! There are some of us here that would be glad to use them thats for sure! Just remember to have the septaglyphs in there as well! I actually made up flash cards of the one, and two syllable words so I could carry them with me and scan through them a few times a day. Usually in total down time, such as standing in line at the bank, waiting for traffic to move... that sort of thing. I highly suggest that as a serious learning method as well. It's amazing how much you can start to recall after a short few days! But if you made up the work sheets, and Adam signs off that they are correct I would be grateful for the extra learning tools!

Hey Vicereine, just start at the beginning and I assure you it won't be too confusing. You'll do fine
And Chungus, those worksheets would be cool! I don't really have time to do them, but you have my blessing if you want to go ahead... just run them by me before you post them so I can make sure they're accurate and I'll give them the official stamp (if I can invent one soon!). Would you think of making them in Flash? Cos I'm eventually going to make some online flashcards that incorporate musical notes, septaglyphs, colours, numbers and syllables. Again, I'm not sure when I'll get around to that though.. |
