That looks very cool.
Curious, how did you do the walls? Is it a cube modified to hell, or is it just a plane or something? I couldn't tell by the wireframe. Like the touch of the touch-pad, very nice I think i'll do a full 640x480 render of my door and start on a new one, seeing as this thread is kinda dead. |

Wouldn't the wires tighten straight before being able to pull the metal slabs upwards? Unless they're made of metal or are living organisms or something... |

Nah, there's nothing wrong with that. Either way's fine. Don't forget the application is an important factor in considering how you model (Ie the application of a model, not the application you use to make the model). For example, if it's for a game you might choose to make something look 3D with more textures than geometry in order to reduce processing time, but if it was for a picture or movie you would use more geometry and rely less on the use of textures to create a 3D illusion. </ramble>
