Is nudity allowed for this contest?

Seriously.

Of course. But, you've got to post it in a link and specify that it contains nudity. Wouldn't what the puritans in an uproar over your tiddly bits. ;)

I've been playing with a few different sketches, and I decided on the one that I liked best. This was the small thumb:

And this was a larger picture that I drew afterwards, except I cut off too much of the body on this one... I want about a little less than half of the figure in frame.

I'm planning on doing this with oil on canvas after i've finished doing this bit. :P.
Crits / Comments?

A roughly coloured version.

I don't have a concept sketch, so I'm sure that I don't qualify...BUT, all the same I wanted to show off a little something I did in about 20 minutes or so. It's not too original...but I enjoyed making it.

Which you'll find here. :)

I was messing around with an idea today, but I'm having trouble getting the perspective/angles right. I'll post a pic once I find the paper I was drawing on :P

Hm. I decided I ran out of time to paint this in oils, so I started doing it on the puta with ps.

My pic

I don't like the ground or the sky, so I'm going to do them again. The only thing is, i'm not sure what I want to do to them to make them look better..... any suggestions?

Super-rough quickie. It was hard to reshade your sky without killing the braches. :(

Thanks for the suggestion.

Smart arse. Listen if you want sky, just do a subtle linear gradient from blue to light blue and add a few cloudies. For the ground, well, lighting it woulds help. Firsy off, it's yellow, so I guess it's desert? Perhaps you add the ground cracking open where the tree comes up? you can also add a little light blue on the ground near the horizon to help it receed.

This isn't the greatest example, but it sort of shows what I mean. I'd suggest googling some image references. I think what makes some surreal work so eery is it's realism.

Here's a few I pulled after I did the quickie above. Should have pulled them before. :P

one crit, jsut with the sides of the hair, mainly jsut the right side on your pic. i find it good to put the smudge tool on about 5 (depending on size of your canvas) then smudge the hair edges, then put the brush on one and smudge the sides on each strand. if you get what i mean???
