I've only seen the original

Monkey Island fanart!
Crap. Guybrush's left foot is closer to the camera than his left foot.
his feet are all messed up. I didnt see this until I finished it^^

Great stuff, Comlock. Too bad about that leg! :D
Maybe a feathered selection in PS and then stretching it?
And it is great to see the stages as that is always very helpful to understanding how much thought and effort has gone into a finished piece.

No, there's really a Lion King One and a Half... Actually rather well done.... it's the story of Lion King 1 as told by Timone.

I re-drew both of the feets on guybrush on paper again.
the original on the right.

I cant upload Dave's video file on my server, and im to lazy to make my own tutorial^^. If you want, you can download the photoshop file of that cartoony lionhead.
(resolution is minimized in this file) DOWNLOAD PSD FILE

(Try painting with a brush in the lineart layer. pretty cool huh? :bing:
ALT+ leftclick the lineart layer to see it (wich is set to "negative" to work that way) )

EDIT: I made a little tutorial after all :D

He substracted his black lines on his initial sketch (traditionally right?) and turned those into a mask so he could colour his lines easily - basically the lines are just showing trough the colouring. The mask-channel is just someting photoshop does internally when you have selected the mask.

ohhh, so when the line art becomes the mask, its basically used so that u can colour the lineart itself rather than having black lines? cool. thanks commy and Bleego for supplying the original tut, from which comlock plagerized it :P
