My first Photo shop Landscape. I like how it came out but i wish i would have put a light blue of 25 opacity or something over the green hills just to give it the blueish tint thats going on before i put the slight blur affect beacuse when i tried putting it on after that it just looked weird. I hope you all enjoy and crit away!

I like the sublime feel of your landscape, Ravenseye, but it does seem to me a little bit like the peaks are just floating. Perhaps if you used a lighter opacity on the misft/fog/clouds and drew some earth beneath them it would add a little more depth and reality to the painting. :)

I decided to try and touch up your picture which is well on its way to being awesome. I was just messing around, but the first thing I did was the edges of the clouds. I can see that what you did for the fog was you used a soft edge, which is a good start. But looking at it, it wasn't soft enough, so I used a brush that also had low opacity, and brushed by own gradient upwards, working in a cloudy texture as I went. The other thing that caught my eye was the fog is all one color. Even though clouds are mysterious and fluffy, they can still be shaded. Since the sun is hiding on the far end of the horizon, I tried to make cast shadows of the mountains on the fog b using a new layer on blending mode Overlay I think; using a darker version of the fog color still with a low opacity brush.

Thankyou folville :P
For me the pleasure I get out of art is by getting a reaction or creating a feeling for people who see it. By making simple scratches and lines turn into a suitcase weilding goon who makes modem noises in the back of the viewer's mind. :bing:

I kinda did what bardaux said and gave the clouds some depth and made it feel more like a misty morning affect.

Yikes, easy on the saturation. Don't want to burn the eyes right out of our heads, now do you? You also have too many white objects in the sky and it distracts from the action on the ground. I did a quick paintover for you:

Something like that, anyway. Nice dynamic piece once you start being selective about what's bright and saturated.

Edit: Study Adam's color palette in Yuyu. He does pretty good night scenes.

Well, the picture was only concept art for the game
the actual game would be more along the lines of a classic platformer/action game

championchap. i actually like the amazingly high levels of saturation used. maybe the red on the tongue is a bit much and some of the colours arent working too well with each other. but i do like the yellow path over the blue ground. if u're gonna go down Anghenfil's route i'd watch that u dont put too much glow n' razzledazzle on the objects bcoz i think your graphics there look better left flat as pancakes :P

Heck ya. I want 3, 2 for each of the ones you made mal (which by the way kick arse) and another for the halo graphic novel one that i have now. I must say, very extremly amazing Malakym. You never cease to amaze me. Love it.

mystical-mongoose- You may want a different backround since its hard to see the blood on the knife thing. And mabye extened the knife a little further into the panel

Keep up the good work you two! ^_^

i guess thats the high colour saturation is the nintendo influence on me huh?

ill try and minamise the colour clashes in future i guess

and i actually do really like how atmospheric the paint over was! ill try and impliment some of that in future pictures
