I know that painting would take alot of time but , this is only my personal oppinion , your buildings look very bland, and I can tell you put a lot of effort into them, so why not jsut put a bit more to make it even better. Im guessing you wan't to be an Architect or something, these would not be sufficient on their own to present as an idea, you need color and texture, even if you just print sum images of bricks or roofs of the computer and stick them on, it will add alot more detail into your picture and make people actually want to look at it, atm i jsut feel like i can see your talent but you aren't pushing the boundaries, just make that little extra effort to make it look so so much better, even if you jsut test it on one of your old structures, just do it.

this might work better

I tried (at your people advice) to paint some but that wasn't posible, the strucktures were just to small and or I can't paint well enouf :P
-building on castle 3 I'll try to invert some roof IMG's and wall IMG's

Have you ever played Rome: Total War? Your cities would be so awesome to launch a seige on! :D Really cool.

I probably could have done this within a day if I didn't get distracted too easily/had to work.

I started with an image from this sketch:

...and turned it into this:

I made some progress images along the way:

This was done on my Tablet PC. I'm more inclined to place any faults in this towards my inexperience with Photoshop and digital painting in general than towards the seemingly low 256 levels of tip pressure. There are some quirks about it, but they're tolerable. You definatly don't want to stick with the pen the tablet comes with, though. The UD series Wacom pen is compatible and has a much better control over pressure, plus an extra side button.

I'll post the plan and 3D sketch later on

I only got one problem if I would use brick IMG or things like that on all walls then I would need 10full sheets at least and that would be rather expensif to print but I'll c (I'll post some img of walls so that you guys can choose)
PS: does anyone now a program with what you can draw with correct messures and strait lines (now I draw everything with the hand)

Wow, this has a lot (A LOT) more character than your first few sketches. Great work. The only part about him that I still am uneasy with are his cookiecutter ears, but I guess it's livable.

This would help bring alot more focus to the top left which would really help move your eyes from the main focus which is the massive cross up front.

scarrabee: Maybe print out some designs of your own on paper that way you can just use that and it's coloured etc...
Use flash if you can. For straight lines etc, as it has a ruler and a grid so you can get everything perfect plus it also has preset shapes so you can do circles and rectangles etc (But so do most programs) you can zoom in a 2000% which is helpfull for little things.

You could try scanning building by building, while they are stilel flat, and that way they would be the same size (i think.... im not sure of the exact size of your buildings) for that you could use photoshop because u can make it print out the exact same size as scanned in and it has rulers in case u are afraid its wrong
(ctrl + r) for rulers.
Either that or you could jsut print out numerous pages of bricks, just take a guess how much you would need, dont over do it tho, you can always print more later. And then you could measure it off the computer which would probably be easier and less confusing, just cut it from the paper.

A homework sketch of the hall at my home. I sat on the lowest step of the stairs for presumably 45 minutes so my back really hurts.

(I hate this camera, got to get a scanner)

Simple pencil art. I really like to draw rooms and spaces. :D

Not saying you did Tinsterr, but it LOOKS like you drew that from a photo reference. There's very noticable curves in your picture that look like lens distortion (although that could be from you taking a picture of the drawing ). You might benefit from using a ruler. ;)

Regardless, nice amount of detail, good composition. Thank you for not centering your major elements. You could standing to be more adventurous with your use of tone, though. Don't be afraid to lay it on.

I dunno Ang, the way I see it, the curves are there for the style, if it was straight it would be boring....
I mean there's basically no point in drawing a room exactly how it is, what does it achieve?

Thanks for the feedback everyone :D I guess I was a little sloppy with some lines... because of the small space I had. But I guess the picture wasn't streched out enough when I shot it for the post.

Tried to get as much of the room on that little peice of paper, and to capture all of the shadows... Im not a fan of toning, thats my new cliff to climb.
