Joncė- Wow! Awesome job, you have a great sense of perspective and color about you. Is that a watercolor? Great to see some traditional stuff on here as well!

Deuce- Great stuff, i saw your design in the sketch thread and had a laugh. Then i saw it here again and had a laugh :) 5'ed!

Eye- Thats a awesome rendering of the Coat of arms mate ;)
How long have you been tatooing? How did you get into it?

Gobi- You have always amazed me with what you can do with flash :D Not much to crit here, loving those colors as well.

Keep it up everyone!

-AnTiSeAl- thx ;), and yes this is watercolor. :bfoot:

Time elapsed on the making of dat tat? :++:

About six-ish hours, give or take a minute here and there. Still needs a bit of work once its healed up.

Ive been apprenticing for just under a year now. Ive always been into tats, used to be just into getting them, then opportunity arose for me to learn the trade and I jumped at it. (My other choice was to go back to school! )

No! Not that one!
Ive done quite a few tats on myself, but on the legs. I think it would be a bitch to tattoo your own upper arm!

Wow, that's fantastic. Only thing I can think of is that the arm holding the gun could maybe be a bit less stiff, to fit in with the rest of the body. Loving the folding on the trouser legs, and the pose of the front foot is really good. Nice work!

Here's the finished poster I did for Talk Like a Pirate day. This was done for a digital illustration class with it specifically being about TLAP day at RIT.

Poor nerdy guy... he didn't stand a chance. This would have been a nice poster to help advertise TLAP day. I like the shines on his arm. Kind of greasy looking. :D

Sarah who?

(I'm a second year New Media Design student)

EDIT: OH DOH! I just got it. The Sarah tattoo. Naw, that was just an easy name for a pirate wench. Heh, yeah, everyone asks that and I always have no idea what they mean.

Done--- 10 hours total.

Thanks to Twinimation & CombineD for their help in the Watcha Workin' On? thread. :bfoot:

I ended up blowing the image size up and working in smaller details. One of the main problems was that there was hardly any backlight hitting the left side of the figure. Things shaped up a bit when it was added. :)

nice picture
it has a nice misterious atmosphere due to the weak lightning

one crit...i think his upper arms are a slight bit too long...normally the elbow is approximately at the area of the belly button, better a bit above, so to say at 2,5 to 3 heads

rest is good :D

I finally finished something! It's not entirely how I'd like it, but I'm still a bit of a newbie to the digital painting thing.

The first finished project for my Illustration class. We were given some articles to create an illustration for. I picked one titled "Dalit," which delved into India's class structure and how it has been effected by the modernization and technological boom that India has been experiencing.

I think the enlarged upper arms make it look better imo. Honestly, I wouldn't like it as much without them, it makes it look alien! So kwli!

the undrowned turnabout
After a huge slump since my "Quest for Improvement" thread, I finally managed to finish another art piece - a weird abstract piece depicting a structure of yellow girders supporting a set of coloured patterns.

A more darker background would bring out the colors in the front more. As I look at its very well what you said. Very weird abstract piece but it looks like one of those conveyers sending packages back and fourth. I like it- this is kinda new to me in some ways. Not often I look at abstract art but now its something I would try myself.

Nice job- told you the spark would come back and you freaking help my artistic block. YES! WOOT WOOT! :D
