I'd like to know who my fellow web designers are here in Brackenwood Forums... if you own a web design business, or just simply design sites like myself, please post some of your work, and/or a link to your site! Also, if you'd like a site done, drop me a line at bmb.reaper.charlie@gmail.com and let me know what you'd like to see. |

FLASH GENIUS (I wish...)
|
http://www.colbybuss.com I learned coding and all in school, but I find it tremondously easier to just use dreamweaver and frontpage because you can 'visually' move things around and even if need be jump into the coding |

Just a stranger...

I made this last summer http://home.socal.rr.com/jesh/ All hand-coded, no WYSIWYG programs (what you see is what you get) used, only SubEthaEdit (which is similar to Notepad in Windows). That was the summer I learned some HTML 4.0, XHTML, and CSS. Personally, I try to avoid using Flash as the main component of my site, as there are a few downsides.. And I'm also a purist :P. |

Only invalid WYSIWYG-made html 4.0 sites.. yay. Oh!? ABigSmall! Yours is made with XHTML+CSS in SubEthaEdit! Hooray for you! EDIT: I read along on your site and HOORAY, you've got the right web ideologies! "Oh, and Internet Explorer for Windows is evil! Switch to Firefox!" |

hey just about to get into the field myself. I finish at college at the end of this summer. so my portfolio site is not fully in line right now, too busy with co-op with a bank. I am doing JSP for them. BigAmp.ca - Portfolio one then I am currently working on is pure CSS design, you know image replacment and all the stuff, CSS Zen Garden type design. layout and coding. so I started simple on this and I did a DVD registry. I have a few other ones on the go but they are still only on the test server at his time a few other ones to look at are: thehollywoodmatinee.com The Legend of Zelda NES |

Register a domain, and get a web hosting plan. Then upload your files.
Search engines and web crawlers can't read the text or the links in flash files, so wave goodbye to anyone finding your website through a search engine. Flash sites mess up the browsers "back" button. People also need to have a flash player installed to view a flash site. You can get around the search engine problem by having an html version of your site, and you can get around the back button problem with some JavaScript/frames.

It depends. Google "web hosting".
Something people are willing to pay for. |

I just realized that I have not shown my own portfolio of work! I have two iterations, one is pretty and one is practical (and much larger). They are located at: http://design.reapercharlie.com and http://portfolio.reapercharlie.com Charlie
